Acemundo Supercharged December 16, 2003 Author Share December 16, 2003 havent gotten new ones........they are stock tyres....michelin recently one burst.......i got bridgestone as the spare and used the spare michelin to replace the one that burst. Raycsk Neutral Newbie December 16, 2003 Share December 16, 2003 Well, side to side rotation is such a simple job that some ppl may not want to bring it to the tyre shop to do. Just like some ppl may prefer to change a flat themselves rather than appearing to be helpless and call AAS! Agree that it is a simple task. But I feel it is important to balance each wheel as you rotate. Since balancing will involve taking the wheels off the car, might as well kill rotate at the same time. Here is the sequence... 1. Jack up car remove tyre (e.g. Front R) 2. Replace with spare & lower jack. 3. Jack up Rear R and change tyre with Front R & lower jack 4. Those can also be used as its only temporary. The best is to have 2 jacks. SIGH! I only have 1 2 ton jack (a minature version of those at workshops. Unlikely to be stock. You're right, doesn't matter really since you're using the spare to bring you to the nearest tyre shop. Hope there's no downpour, though!
