Bossman Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 I have a very bad incident with them.I bought a Broquet from Mcwell 2 weeks ago and I called them up recently to have exercise the money back guarantee. They then tell me that they do not practise this at their shop and I have to go to the supplier which is Universal Consultants.I called them up and was referred to Derrick. He says that they ALSO cannot give me the refund because I bought it from Mcwell not from them.I called McWell again and they in turn says that it is Universal who promise their the 30 days money back guarantee not Mcwell.Mcwell is just the dealer. I recalled U C and they said that Mcwell bought the Broquet from them and thus able to give any kind of promotions and since they sell the Broquet to me at a lower price, I am not entitled to the money back.WTF !! They never mention a word to me about this silly practise. Don from Mcwell offered to have the Broquet exchanged to me for something else at the same value. I will call Kenny the MD of U C and demand my money back and if it fails, I will refer this to CASE. ↡ Advertisement
Cosx Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 Hi Bossman, Generally, I never anticipate money back guarantee to be exercise. The hassle that you would need to go thru with not be worth the time and effort (the view from some insider on makreting strategy) so likely you will give up..... If you refer to case probably U C will then bring out some clause and terms and condition that you never even seen... But, seriously I hope you can teach these unethical people some lesson! Bossman Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Author Share August 7, 2002 Guess what ? They have agreed to let me have my money back .They take my case as an exceptional one due to the fact that I am not aware of the policy that Mcwell has. Thank GOD. Madarmour Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 Could it be due to the fact that you've threatened to go to CASE?
Cosx Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 good for you! BTW, is the fuel thingie really no good? Care to share?
Bossman Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Author Share August 7, 2002 Well...it depends on a lot of factors actually.First what kind of driver are you.If you are looking for more power from this product, I say forget it.There is little or almost no significant increase. If you are looking to save fuel by using this product, you might consider it.But then again, if you always redline your car and sped off when the lights go green, this product will not help your fuel economy. In all, I guess it is not worth the price.Too many factors play a part. However ,get Fuel Master or Fuel Max, this is one product that will sure improve your pickup speed.
Kianbeng Clutched August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 Does anyone knows the price for FuelMax? I know of this place that sells hardward locks, taps,.....and also Fuel Max! Cost $140 for 1 fuel max + 1 tap water saver. Doesn't seems like a pro shop to me man! Anyway, with regards to the Broquet, I'm sadden to hear about this incident.....they should have arranged something with their dealers. Coz when they advertise as an agent/distributor, they have already mentioned about the 30 days warranty and most importantly of all, they didn't mention that dealers don't have it. So it's very likely that ppl still buy their products at dealers' place after agent's advertisements. As for myself, my experience for using Broquet (as mentioned in some other recent post; sorry for duplicating), it has been really good on my old benz car. uses RON92 like RON98. Saves alot for me coz I didn't have to use lead additives for every pump. My old car needed leaded. With broquet, I was using unleaded 92. As mentioned by others also, such improvements may not apply to every car. I agree that there is no immediate improvement of speed after installation. So if you purely wanted performance, you can drop the idea. kianbeng

I met the guy Derrick from U C.... and he help me migrated my Broquet to another guy's car.... and use a metal tube connectors to join back my fuel line which they cut when they install it!! Think what we can do is post on all the forum... i'll cut and paste this onto STC, SHC, SMC, SSC, etc.... to warn other consumers...

Actually... so glad for u... i should have made that kind of noise back then... so end up with the product for 1 yr and sell it away at a lost. Guess what... after i remove Broquet from my fuel line..... my car seems more powerful... and less hesitant!!
Guyver 1st Gear August 8, 2002 Share August 8, 2002 In my personal opinion.... if i throw $50 away.... and don't install it... i still save $330 and have a more powerful car!!
Lester Neutral Newbie August 12, 2002 Share August 12, 2002 Hi Kianbeng I know of a guy who wrapped up his business some time back selling Superfuelmax freelance. He should still have stock left. If you need to check it out, lemme know again. Otherwise, look for TB, his magnets works the same way. It's cheaper as well. Lester
Kianbeng Clutched August 13, 2002 Share August 13, 2002 Hmm....if you can let me know the price, that'll be great. Unfortunately, TB has sold all his magnets..... kianbeng
Lester Neutral Newbie August 16, 2002 Share August 16, 2002 Hi Kianbeng The superfuelmax is going for $100 instead of the previous price I bought at $120. My friend who wound up his business some time back has only one pair left. Lemme know if you are interested. Lester
Kianbeng Clutched August 16, 2002 Share August 16, 2002 is superfuelmax same as fuelmax? Coz from what I know, there should be a money back guarantee as well. If your friend has wound up the business, then I assume....there will be no money back guarantee? kianbeng
Lester Neutral Newbie August 17, 2002 Share August 17, 2002 Yes you r right on! No $ back guarantee inthis case. Fuelmax and superfuelmax works the same way but I think superfuelmax has a higher gauss. Lester
Guyver 1st Gear August 18, 2002 Share August 18, 2002 It's ok.. just buy and use... then if it's good.. keep it... if it's not.... visit all the car forum and see which one really works well with it.... and post it there to sell lah.... like for me.... the Broquet... i wanted to sell... but little did i know that S'pore Subaru Club really promote this.... i didn't know that... so end up only sell my Broquet @ $200.... if i've know that they are so keen on it... would have posted a higher price...... ↡ Advertisement
