  1. Hi bros, is anyone of you using 3M solar film and find it really bad? I have the supposed "premium plus" 3M film installed on my ford mondeo and I find the heat rejection really bad. Just 2 hours under hot sun and the whole car becomes an absolute oven... take about full 10 min to cool the car down with air con full blast. When I called 3M to ask why their product is so bad, they said it's already one of their top range solar film. When I enquired about their heat rejection rate, she said it's only 40% front and 42% rear. Doesn't sound very good to be honest. And I must say I had expected more from 3M products and services. Now I'm seriously contemplating ripping off the 3M film and installing others... even if it's those no-brand films with high heat rejection rates. Any that you guys can recommend?

  3. My bro bought a computer from Harvey Norman's about a year ago and purchased the extended warranty. Recently, his computer broke down and he went on Sunday to Harvey Norman's outset at Funan to make full use of the extended warranty since it was still valid. There, the sales person (I was there) told him to just call the number from monday to Friday and then go to the service centre. No, they do not do the servicing at the outlet, no they cannot let him leave the lap top at the store and fo them to send it to the store on his behalf and no, the service centre is open only from monday to friday. My bro was freaking mad because he was only free on Sunday and he did not mind if there were delays if for example they said something like they can despatch the lapop but there will be delays because they can despatch only on Mondays..... or something. A complaint was lodged to Harvy Norman''s and the only thing the person told him when he replied was "Company's policy". The extended warranty is not cheap and with such poor service, I think I should inform the bros here that while Harvey Norman's products might be good, do not be taken in by their extended warranty in the hope that they will assist you when you need help, because they will not.

    HSBC Sucks

    Anyone encounter not receiving their bill and asking for payment? For my case I signed up with HSBC because I always use shell for my car. Till date I am waiting for the hardcopy bill so that I can verify and pay. Last night I could not use my card to pay for my petrol because it was stopped by the bank. Never in my life have I ever had any bank stop my credit before. Just want to check if anyone else encounter such issue.

  7. jus a total replicate of the original UK version but end up being a low class copy, with a irritating young punk (cant even b bothered w his name), a fat guy (supposed US version JC) and an older middle age guy (supposed james may). started yest on channel 407 starhub. i thk its becos the UK season ended last week. sigh...counting down to the new season, UK edition!
  8. Jacuzzi horror The Star | Tue, Feb 14 2012 A Jacuzzi's suction was so strong that it almost killed a 158-cm boy. During the school holidays, my family and I went to a resort in Kuantan. Since it was the monsoon season, my sons, aged 11 and eight, were content with just swimming in the pool. On our final day at the hotel, my sons wanted to go into the Jacuzzi, and since there were many smaller children playing in it, I followed them in. Suddenly, my younger boy called out that his brother was at the bottom of the Jacuzzi and was not getting up. Quickly, I tried to pull him up, but to no avail. I screamed for help, and many people jumped in to help. The suction was so strong that it took my husband and four other men to pull my son out. He was resuscitated and rushed to a hospital, suffering lacerations on his chest and stomach. In the intensive care unit, my son cried, saying that he could have died. We comforted him, saying he was a hero and that he had saved many children's lives. If it were not for him, a smaller child would have got stuck in the suction pump and could have drowned. My son returned home to Kuala Lumpur three days later. I thank God and all the kind people who helped us on that frightful day. With God's grace, though bearing the scars of that frightful day, he has returned to swimming, his one true love. So all of you out there who feel like taking a dip in the Jacuzzi with your children, please bear in mind that it almost killed a 158-cm boy who weighed more than 50kg.   10. Went there around 11 plus in the morning and long queue outside carpark. Carpark was like a HDB mulitstorey carpark with very limited lots. Only manage to go up 2nd floor before getting stuck inside for another 15mins and told to leave the carpark by security as inside the carpark was totally jam up. Take the MRT there next time. Save you time and petrol! Very poor car park design and poor management. Security people not doing their job well and long queue of cars outside waiting to go in.

  13. Hello all, I rarely post here, but would appreciate if any more experienced bros here know what i'm in for. Anyways, I drive a run-off-the-mill CS5 Ralliart Lancer. The old one..with the sucky GDI turbo... I've recently changed to Brembos from an Evo 9 front and back (stock, the car already comes with discs front and rear) expecting the braking to be way better. To my horror, it became WORSE. Now this, despite the steel brake lines, WELL-BLED (multiple times, 4 bottles of Ferrodo brake fluid) hydraulics, alignment and installation checks, etc etc... I'm starting to suspect the brake pump doesn't have enough power to distribute the fluid around. A look into an Evo's bonnet reveals that the pump is indeed bigger (double layer, one line to the rear, one to the front) as compared to my car (two lines to the front and one line to the rear) Are there any after-market master servos/pumps/etc etc that you guys know of that will fit? Gunna try to buy an Evo master cylinder and pump tomo to see if it helps...any input is much appreciated.
  14. Anyone of you who use Mobile pay to by e-license encounter this problem? 1) Automated call from MobilePay is muted and cut off after about 18 seconds. It will then call again. Sometimes all 3 times will be muted and I have to SMS again. 2) Transaction failed even though I keyed in the correct pin and evv code. 3) After SMS, no automated call received at all. Used to work fine from end last year to early this year but nowadays, almost certainly I will hit one of the 3 problems above. Kanasai.....
  15. This is my story below I am sorely disappointed by HP's service. All this while I have been a faithful to HP and I just bought a new HP touchsmart just 2 months back. When my HP Photosmart C6180 was inoperable on the 14/5/10, I brought it down to the HP service centre in Alexandra. There your staff took a mere glance at it and told me it could not be repaired at all without taking a second look. They then showed me the trade in program and wrote down the remap program but did not explain it at all. I then left for home and made repeated calls to your customer service hotline. They tell transferred me repeatedly and told me that they would call me back and proceeded to recommend me various printers when I made it clear that I only wanted one model, the C309a. One such call was on Friday 4/6/2010 around 3pm I spoke to Raghini from your call centre. She said she would call me back but to-date (12/6/2010) I have not received any call. So today (12/6/2010) I proceeded down to your service centre (12.36 pm) and spoke to your counter staff. They finally explained the remap program. So a brand new C309a costs $409 from a Major IT megastore and with your trade-in program it'd be $419. So whats the point of me trading in my printer and having to top up $10 more for the exact same thing which can be had without a trade-in at a major IT megastore? Isnt your trade-in program a farce? Your remap program is an equal joke. $345.61 for a RE-MANUFACTURED (Meaning the set failed QC once and is rebuilt) with 3 months warranty as compared to a BRAND NEW one for $409 with 1 year warranty? No thanks. I left without anything. HP should sincerely reconsider its customer service policy. I wasted 2hours for a trip down to your service centre because your staff failed to explain the remap program. I went down today with every intention of going under that program but your staff did not mention that it was a REMANUFACTURED unit until I asked just before filling the form. All my life, all this while I have trusted HP quality, HP service but this incident has shaken my faith in HP greatly. This is especially so since other brands which cost much less provide better service. I understand that a business is a business but there is a fine line between a customer-centric firm and a profit-centric firm.

  17. Think my life really sucks big right now. Work, friend and relationship. Si bei sianz. Work - my colleague which i mention in another thread. Friend - the car club which i wanted to associated myself has someone who is so damn fake. Say things without thinking, fly people aeroplane, say one thing do another etc etc. pui Relationship - My gf only thinks about herself and even though i am unhappy all she does is just ignore me. Damn what did i do to get myself into all these? Feeling damn dishearted.

Very pissed off this afternoon while exit thru this parking at Clementi Ave 2 in Block 355...instead of paying 30min endup paying 1hour rate due to faulty barrier which held up more than 30 cars behind with more than 15 minutes.....This not the first time but many many times....Any bro encounter this before...It looks like all the cars kena cheated by fews minutes...

  20. Just expressing my utter disgust and agitation with the system. My almost new IU "died" once a few months ago ( in my 6 month old car then) and because everything revolves around that stupid IU - 1) My season parking affected 2) Cannot park in car parks that required auto IU sensing 3) Cannot go through ERP gantries Bascally CRIPPLED!! I had to take half day off to get it sorted out. After it got fixed - it DIED again - so LTA had to replace it. Now barely 3 months later - IT HAS DIED AGAIN!!!! I have to get to work, so I drive through the ERP gantry with a dead IU (what choice!?) LTA is taking forever to get back to me of the situation - and I refuse to/cannot take any time off to sort this thing out AGAIN. ( I am a lowly wage earner!) Not everyone is a 2.2 million man who can suka suka take time off to sort out inferior government required r0ad pricing equipment!!! I AM SICK OF THIS sxxt!! Any bros got same experience or know how I can sort this out??

Steamboat LG (aircon got humming sound so sent in checkup,instead of replyin me things like we will feedback to the headoffice abt tis noise or all chevrolet aveo got tis humming noise...he actualli told me oh ITS LIKE TAT,jus now got another aveo aircon louder than urs...so am i supposed to clap hand n answer him back OH I M SO LUCKY?and i did asked him does all the aveo behave like tat he dont know how to answer me..tis shows that they dont even know their product well,their product knowledge is equal to zero.i believed many chevrolet owners do encounter similar things like tat.do voice out.thanks.
  22. After shopping at Xtra saw a car wash with Autoglym signboard. Happily went over ask for price. Price ok at 10rm. That bugger keep pestering me to go for polishing but I decline He use the strong jet blast and my rear and side visor all fly off tu lan laio. Nevermind. Snowwash the machine also spolit never top up so only some part of the car got snow. Nevermind. Then drive my car to other lot to do vacuum. On the way he use my car and horn non stop at 1 msian car blocking his way. This bunch of hooligans then anyhow wipe down my car. Wipe and talk and call hp. Vacumm also half past 6 job. Then keep pester me to do polishing again. KNN this type of standard expect me to do with them. I ask them how my visor all come out. Told them I went to so many carwash in Jb never happened. They yaya said the guel no good or what. I told them i use silicon to stick. they ask me go to the shop next door mofiz( cut throat shop to do) Done at this shop call wat mofiiz. Knn half past 6 job use the straw and tissue on the floor to wipe and apply the glue. Then apply silicon on the side only. Guess the price? 15rm for only the rear visor and 1 side visor. KNN I can buy 1 silicon glue laio. So bros dont go to these 2 cut throat shops!
  23. I would like to express my utter disappointment in Cycle n Carriage merz after sales service. About 2 weeks ago, i made an online booking for my ride's first 10,000km servicing. And in that booking, i clearly stated that i needed some parts change as there's some water sepage into my side indicator lights whenever it rains. I also said that i wanted my car to be serviced at their UBI centre. (The actual service date that i asked for was 1 week from the day i made the online booking).The next day, a customer rep from their Pandan Loop centre called me to verify my online booking and the other details. On the actual service day, i arrived at UBI bright and early and guess what, the sales rep at the front counter had no idea what i was there for! NEVERMIND. I explained to her about my online booking and she then directed me to the service rep. I asked if he had any information about my service booking and he just gave me a blank look. Since he had no information whatsoever, he obviously didn't know that i also needed a parts change too. As such, he said they needed to order the parts and told me to come back again the next day to get it changed!! Lastly, after i collected my car at the end of the day, it was not washed or cleaned at all! I know for a fact that PML washes all BMW's that get sent there for whatever minor/major jobs, so why can't Merz benz do the same! If this was an AH BENG workshop, i wouldn't be surprised at all....but we are talking about MERCEDES BENZ here!that was the final straw. Information flow was atrocious! The sole reason for me to make my booking 1 week in advance was to avoid something like this from happening. Obviously none of my online booking information was sent to UBI. I can see now why BMW is selling more cars than Merz. Car for Car wise, both are equally as good. However, what gives BMW the edge....is their after sales service.

  25. Scroll down to see the broken TRD rear sway bar. (Top image is a competitor's rear sway bar, which is way better built) The TRD sway bar is not even welded properly together. Just a bar with two end caps.
