Aspri Clutched January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 That was exactly why I chose the G3 over it. I'll live with the road noise as long as I've the grip.
Mondeost220 Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Author Share January 25, 2004 wan to cheong on rainy days oso wan to think twice...going 100km/h already feel v.slippery
Aspri Clutched January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 AspecDB will show you what aquaplaning really means when you go over those puddles on Lane 1.
Car_guru Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 What's your tyre size? Usually wider tyres will aquaplane more easily... somemore you use the Aspec dB, which is renowned for it's poor wet weather performance...
Hitman Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 Tell that to the guy driving a Nissan Sunny I met on the way to Desaru in very wet conditions. He was going 90 kph only ..... and I was thinking maybe no experience driving in the wets .... or just plain relax mood. Overtook him and went off continued to Desaru. Until I got to the Desaru Hotel ... where he was part of a Singapore convoy of 5 cars. He came out of his car cursing and swearing that his tyres cannot hold the wet conditions .... whilst his friends were mocking him for driving like a Granny His tyres : ASPEC DB ps : Bro Nissan Sunny , if you are reading this. I must tell you your car was swerving left and right when you hit those puddles manz .... I was in a hurry to overtake you cause I didnt feel comfortable sitting behind you whilst you kept braking before each puddle.
Regboyboy Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 AGREE with you 100% Aspec DB CANNOT MAKE IT!!!!!!! I always feel when it comes to corners and wet roads.
Phalanx Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 Yep...want wet weather performance...go for Goodyear F1 GSD3.

Andrewkb Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 Well, here's my comment ... On my Sunny, I was using AspecDB (195/55R15) and I didn't really encounter much problem even on wet condition. I dunno about the mentioned Sunny driver, but basically I think the tyre holds up well for a pretty much stock not-much power 1.6L car. However, getting my Stream, I immediately upgraded to AspecDB for it's quietness. 195/65R15 was the size and I did encounter a few wheel spinning in wet condition ! The closest shave was the slope up to IMM level 2. It was raining and I was stucked on the slope. When moving off, the tyre was spinning and I was slidding backward !!! WOW ! That's really a close shave ...
Turtlekar 2nd Gear January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 dunno for me, but day 2 after getting my JAzzy, change to falken 512 liao....just to make sure i don't fell into the trap of doing drifting on the road
Zolidlim Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 How long u been using aspec?? I am currently running on that, and it feels alright to me. Not very slippery, and cut water well enuff...
Zombie Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 my es100 also holding well for the raining days.... but a lot of passengers complain noisy. May switch to a quiet tyre when time comes.
Car_guru Neutral Newbie January 25, 2004 Share January 25, 2004 The Aspec dB on my dad's VIP served him well for over 50k... but eventually, the grip was getting very poor and the noise level crept up... so recently changed to Bridgestone GR80... much better grip and the noise level is comparable to new Aspec dBs... ↡ Advertisement
