When u see the car, you will appreciate the last 2 seats of the stream!! [laugh][laugh] Really for small families only if utilised all the seats I don't think there's space for groceries and stuff like prams!!

But of course there's pros and con...

Saw a face-lifted stream 1.7 the other day. Looks good. Front and rear different.

>>If you look hard enough at the new facelift, you can see a dark shinny "Plastic" grill right infront of the bonnet, it is very obvious especially for light colour paint. I find it an eye-sore and that's why I ordered the burgundy (dark red) colour for my Stream.

What freebies did you get from the SE?

>>Managed to get sports rims, 6 discs changer and reverse sensors for my 1.7 Stream. The leahter seats(with 70% loan) and 2 Din Alpine MP3 player is standard.

Maybe when you get your ride, can share your experience with me. I am very interested.

>> No prob, I'll PM you when I get my ride [thumbsup] .

Thanks.

I will pay special attention to the grill the next time I see one.

Is the sports rims 15"?

Why did you not ask for bodykit? I feel that Stream with bodykit can look quite chio. But of course cannot go fast lah!

I like the Burgundy one also. Maybe can convince my wife to go for that, since she choose the colour and I choose the car! [laugh]

hi thunder

i have been driving the stream 1.7 since last May.

What i like:

- looks

- space is more than enough for my family (2 adult + 1 kid and parent occassionally)

- fuel consumption : ~10.8km/l to 11km/l (i m light footed with 70% city and 30% highway)

What i don't like:

- lack of power unless u really step on it

- noisy engine

Overall, for my family size and usage (for work and weekend for family), the size, fc and price is just nice! 2.0 would have been better but not willing to pay for the xtra rd tax, fc....

Hi Jonnie,

Juz out of curiousity, when you say engine noisy - is it during fast pickup only? Or does it also apply to gradual pickup? What about during cruising, is the engine sound noisy as well? [sweatdrop]

cheers!

My sports rim is 14". Frankly speaking, I don't really care much about the exterior(my time has past when everything must look "chio" [pirate] ), it is a 1.7L afterall, not i-Vtec. [rolleyes] Also, it is suppose to be a family for ferrying pple around, not a race-car. [nod]

But I'll spend $$$ for good audio and sound proofing to enjoy my music. [inlove]

Wow, damn smart [thumbsup], got wife to choose colour, I got mine to foot half the down payment! [lipsrsealed]

Actually true also. I rather have nice interior than exterior. Outside cannot see when driving mah!

The last car I bought, the SE ask me if I wanted sports rims or Leather seats, I choose the leather seats.

Lucky you. My wife not working, so can only choose colour.

Another reason why I stop splurging on my exterior is our local carpark is too tight to avoid knocking by the car parked besides us. Unless you have a private parking lot or you can park in your own yard, those coin-size dents will start appearing in no time - very "kek sim" [bigcry] Really hate those ppl who got to swing their door wide-open when exiting or entering their car... [furious] ... [rifle] ... [knife]

BTW, you are a lucky man that can afford to keep your wife at home. [nod][thumbsup] My wife most of the times knockoff later than me. [shakehead] How to have more bb like that? [shocked]

I also have a lot of holes and scratches on my car. Every weekend when washing my car, will discover them and curse and swear [furious] .

I always try not to park beside small lorry and SUVs. Their door is higher and because of their size, usually have to open the door very wide to enter. However, can only minimise but not prevent. [bigcry]

My wife stays at home because its cheaper for her to look after our two kids then to send them to childcare [lipsrsealed] .

That's why you are getting you Stream soon and I will have to wait.

noisy during pickup (>2.5krpm). cruising is OK. i used to drive a Sunny. compared to the sunny, the stream is noisy. noise insulation for stream is not as good as sunny. guess bec it is a MPV with more metal and glass area => easier for external noise to come into the cabin vs a normal saloon car.

I think that is a common mis-perception. With new cars, you have to go back to agent to "enjoy" the warranty. Most agents will be the same - expensive. It will be cheaper if you go outside and that goes for euro cars as well, but you lose the warranty. But with newer cars, outside workshops sometimes don't know how to service, worst is that some pretend they know, and damage the car!

Anyway, OPEL service interval is 15K, so even if is is more expensive per service, still reasonable overall. And you save time by not having to service so often. If you want details, can PM me, this is wrong forum for OPEL lah! :-)

Good for you[thumbsup] , very "chio" ride - esp with those rims! Did you change them? [bounce2]
