Petrewon Neutral Newbie April 21, 2006 Share April 21, 2006 Best method to buy a car, is to test drive one. Buy the one that best suits ur needs, within ur finances and the one that u like most. ↡ Advertisement
Ldawn88 2nd Gear April 21, 2006 Share April 21, 2006 (edited) Cannot generalise the trent that JAP cars are cutting cost lah. have been driving Jap cars for >10 years. Not sure abt Toyota though cos I never follow the crowd who always buys toyota becos 'every one says it is reliable'. BUT I have most of my co-workers driving corolla, soluna, vios, camry complaining during lunch times. Cool and entertaining to listening to their whins. I have been a Nissan supporter and have driven Sunny, R32 and now Cefiro... nothing except for brake made croaky noises during the first few kilometers of driving each morning. Other than that... no problem or issues with Nissan cars. Ya, agree! Nowadays Jap cars are not like the older days, made to last and reliable. It is Jap trend to cut cost here and there but selling price about the same so Conti cars are much better or can get Korean cars which are valued for Money! Wanrizal Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Why don't you consider the Toyota Belta from a PI instead? Its around the same price as the Vios S if im not wrong...then the FC is 19km/L...not bad right? But haven't heard of any reviews yet. Anyone out here tried/have it? Requiemdk 1st Gear April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Err... When I bought my Vios, I don't think anyone heard of the Belta yet... From what I know, the Belta is simply a Yaris with a boot though.
Joneses Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 A friend of mine went to test drive ALTIS ... guess what SE told her ? SE said if damaged the test drive model, will have to compensate. My friend scolded her that if BM cannot afford to buy insurance, they should not be selling cars .... In the end my friend refused to testdrive and bought a lancer instead. Too bad, BM ... you just lost a customer eh sure or not? singapore road no insurance drive is against the law one leh
English5b Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 I always have an impression that BM has high margin, but looks like Nissan, Hyundai and Mazda have even higher margin! http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...r_Cost_2005.pdf

Vesfreq Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 I thought so. u driving the MT vios? Serious? u mean BM selling vios with 14" rims? Thats a bit small, rite?
Requiemdk 1st Gear April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Yep I drive an MT vios. It's not just the 14" rims, although yes they look puny and way too small to fill up the already small wheel arches. In other countries like Taiwan or China, the Vios even has a sunroof as an option. Can you tell that I really really hate the way BM imports vehicles and specs them down? Enialenat Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Hi all, Anyone encounter problems with these 2 vehicle so far???? Heard Vios have lots of problem?? My frd drive 1yr says no prob. Every product sure got at least 1 or 2 lemons.
Vesfreq Neutral Newbie April 23, 2006 Share April 23, 2006 The vios is value for money. But, the BM SEs really big turn off. Thats why I like my c&c SE. At least, never make empty promises.
