Wheel Balancing

Each wheels is taken out and put on a balancing machine to balance the tyre. The tyre need to rotate at a nice circle and due to production process...not the entire tyre will have equal weight around thus you need to do balancing. Balancing is done thru attachment of small pieces of counter weight around the rims to achive balance state.

High Speed Balancing

Done when normal wheel balancing cannot balance the rims. This method attach the wheels to the car...jack the car so that the driven wheel is off the floor and the machine will run the wheels at high speed to detect inbalance. Same method of balancing as wheel...small piece of counter weight is attached to the rims.

Wheel Rotation

This method is used to even out the wear on the wheels. For most FWD cars, the tyres are required to drrive the car, steer and corner resulting in higher wear rate as compared to the rear. By rotating the front and rear tyres perodically...wear is even out.

Wheel Alignment

Done when you change suspension or have any undercarriage work done. It basically "catches" back the gemotery of the car back to that it tracks straight. How you know if you need alighment ? When travelling at a high speed say around 90...let go of your steering wheel and see if your car veers to one side...if it does..you need to get your alighment adjusted. This is done by a specialised machine...cost is around 60-80 (depending on reputation of the workshop who does this) Wheel alignment is also recommend when you do tyre change on all wheels.
