Bpfocus Neutral Newbie May 4, 2004 Share May 4, 2004 I am currently on Turanza GR ....my 2nd set ......it is developed by Bridgestone Australia using Oz developed technology called Donut .....it is designed primarily for comfort and tyre durability .....gives good road holding performance even after considerable tyre wear ......good grip in both dry and wet .........UTQG (Uniform Tyre Quality Grade) is 260 A A .....you can find this on the tyre sidewall..........the first index refers to threadwear, the higher the index the harder the tyre compound and more resistant to wear, 260 means it is 2.6 times more resistent to wear than a tyre rated at 100, the second index refers to traction ...highest grade is A......third index refers to temperature resistence .....the ability of the tyre compound to resist heat and cool itself ....again A is the highest grade ......... the ST 115 I think is more preformance biased ......however, your choice depends on the car you are driving and your driving habit and preference ....I personally think the Turanza is more than adequate for a normal saloon for normal driving .......... Vtim 3rd Gear May 7, 2004 Share May 7, 2004 I have that on my previous ES8, I would say value for money but a bit 'vocal' when push thru' corners. The only thing I don't like is the soft side wall, still prefer the Falken FK451
Carmodz Neutral Newbie August 17, 2005 Share August 17, 2005 hey vtim, are the FK451s noisy?? I read many good reviews abt this tire though, but i heard they were like realli noisy.
Vtim 3rd Gear August 17, 2005 Share August 17, 2005 I've yet to try FK451 as they don't have 15", as this model take over the previous GRB Tune II, I'll expect it to be a bit noisy
