Genie47 1st Gear July 26, 2004 Share July 26, 2004 (edited) Nice progressive springs can use stock dampers. With them they might last 2.5yrs. True sport springs will kill dampers in 1yr. Check if Eibach Pro Kit has springs for your car. Oh yes, welcome to MCF Edited July 26, 2004 by Genie47

Vtim 3rd Gear July 27, 2004 Share July 27, 2004 there should be quite a few brands for your lancer, best to ask them in Lancer Club http://forums.delphiforums.com/CediaClub/start http://forums.delphiforums.com/lancerforums/start

Ghostrider 3rd Gear August 2, 2004 Share August 2, 2004 If you just want to lower for the looks without compromising on the ride quality, look at those dress up kits. These springs basically maintain the spring rate of the orginial springs but has closer coil (hence lower looks) Check and see if Fong Kim still got stocks for the Tein Soft Sports. These springs lower your car by around 2cm (Layman term measurement is around 2 fingers from your fender). Ride quality is retain while changing the looks. If I am not wrong, HKS did introduced a series of dress up kits for many cars....same as the Tein one. Or look for Cartronic's "chioBu" Kimiko....ask her if she got Sheepdog springs for your car. Soya Supersonic August 2, 2004 Share August 2, 2004 i agree that's ideal. but i'm doing it progressively to hv a taste of the incremental improvements. so far, no probs wif the stock dampers. can always change to koni when it wears off.
Yansen Neutral Newbie August 2, 2004 Share August 2, 2004 hihi, if i lower for the looks only w/o compromising on ride quality, will the handling improve? can provide an estimate cost for these 'cosmetic' springs? thanks.
Ghostrider 3rd Gear August 3, 2004 Share August 3, 2004 Last I know the Tein ones cost around 300plus....so you should expect around that region.
