eh i somehow don't get it. how come the autoglym resin polish is applied first before the sealant whereas this soft99 stuff is use sealant than wax? [:/]

Polish is different from wax. Polish is abrasive and serves to remove contaminants and even out the coat so that wax or sealant can be applied next to best effect. Wax is simply a final shine coat. Sealants shine the car as well but also serve a protective role by bonding with the paint to make a sacrificial layer above the paint that is more durable than pure wax.

Hope this helps. I may be wrong too, coz I'm new to detailing. [dizzy]

Maybe just to add on what Valjean has mentioned. If you compare it to Klasse you will have a better understanding why Autoglym Resin Polish (ARP) is applied first. For Klasse, you will apply AIO first to clean the paint first at the same time leave a protection layer on the paint, than you apply the SG to enhance the protection and increase the shine and gloss of the car. So for Autoglym, you should apply ARP than follow by their Extra Gloss Protection to enhance the overall protection and outlook.

As for polish, there are some polish out there which have no cleaner but only pure polish that enhance the look of your car before you lay your wax, one example will be Meguiar's #7 SHow Car Glaze. As for wax there are also wax that contain cleaner eg, Mother's cleaner wax and Meguiar's cleaner wax, these are great 1 step product if you do not have time to do a detail cleaning, polishing and waxing. Is the scratch clear wax a Soft99 product and is it a carnauba base or synthectic base product ? If I'm not wrong, fusso 9 month is a synthactic base product so if the scratch clear wax is a carnauba base product than I don think fusso 9 month will bond very well to it. If you want to be sure that fusso 9 month will bond to your paint, than I would suggest you to use a paint cleaner instead of the scratch clear wax. Paint cleaner dose not contain any wax or protection, it simply cleans the car's paint and makes it ready for any wax or sealant.

As you can see Klasse AIO & SG and Autoglym SRP and EGP are all in the same base formula, that's the reason why they do not have bonding issue and they work as a system.

Hi..new to the forum.

I've bought the same combo stated in the 1st post.

Spent almost 5hrs on it (having stiff back and arms now).

The end result? Lots of swirls removed and looks almost like new. (its a 6mth old car)

I must say that the polish is the toughest part and took quite a while to finsh it.

But i think its possibly due to 3M swirl remover for light colour. :P (Car is red).

Hi Guys [wave] ... just wanna update that I have recently got the Geki Coat from soft99.

Don't have a clue [hur] what the Jap instructions say on the bottle. Bought it because of some mentioned abt it in the Pinas Detailing website, on Geki being better than Fusso, also wanted to try something new.

I have also used Fusso 9 months.... darn I finished the whole bottle in about 5 applications.... [rolleyes]

So far so good, incredible water beading.. more like water sheeting. When the car gets dirty after a few days of heavy driving, I just need to flush the car with water and wipe. No need for shampoo and carbon dust comes off easily. Now just wondering how long it can last.

If any bros have tried Geki, do share your experience too [:)]

Cheers,

Adrian

That's abt the standard. 1 bottle Fusso 9 mths can last 5 applications, at least that's what it says on the bottle / cover....
