hmm...not too sure but that's really a lot, cos most of the time, rule of thumb of applying sealant and wax is 'the lesser, the better' [sweatdrop]

Geki Coat is about ~$30 .

So far still got half bottle left and have made about 3 coats already.

For me... I think its the ONE... its been nearly like 5 washes already, plus slight drizzle and rain. Still have lots of water beading... [thumbsup]

PS - MF buddy, heh... can't wait for our next wash and wax [wave] .

Ha ha... time to use eyepower.... [cool][laugh][laugh]

I got it at concorde... u have to look [shocked] carefully, hidden in corner.

Unless fellow MCFers raid the Geki stocks alreadie... [laugh] that happens u know [nod]

Pls note Geki is not a show polish... its more a sealant than anything. Which is fine for me... just want car to have some protection, but don't want too shiny to attract attention.. [;)]

I've got NXT tech wax, can I use this to replace Kizz clear, before i layer on Fusso Coat?

How long do i have to wait before laying on Fusso?

Used to use layer meguiar's polymer sealant #20 on top of nxt, intend to try fusso after i finish meguiar's, hehe

1 day (24hrs).... I believe so as to allow for better bonding of the Kizz clear. But kizz clear is also a sealant... [confused] So why need Fusso coat?...

If u use NXT wax think should be Fusso then NXT.

Any subject matter expert pls comment. [blush]

The cleaner in NXT is very mild, so strictly speaking it is not classified as a cleaner wax. And if I'm not wrong the cleaner in #20 is actually slightly strong than NXT, so the more proper way is to layer NXT over #20. As for Fusso, I think it will be better to layer NXT over it instead the other way round.

Hi sir,

I bought the soft99 Fusso Coat 12 (12 months protection coating) and applied it today. Here is how i did the coating (I presume these are the basic steps as the instructions on the package are in Japanese:

a. Clean the car... dry it

b. apply the coating with the sponge provided

c. let each section i coated, dry for about 5 - 10mins

d. buff away with the other sponge (that was provided in the same package)

What baffled me was that there is a very faint layer of haze/"oil" that cannot be removed no matter how many times I wipe, even if another dry clean cloth. Though the car shines, and you can feel the smoothness of the coat, this layer of "oil"/haze could be seen under bright light.

Can you advise me on what i did not do right?

Mine is also a black car, and I bought the Fusso which is meant for dark colored car.

Thanks and Regards,

I got the hard paste 12 mth and I reckon you got the liquid 12 mth.

Same as yourself, there is a oil film but it will dry after a while.

It's either the Fusso coat or the wax - dunno which is which....more likely to be the Fusso coat as I dun think the liquid one contains any wax....

Some possibilities for the symptoms you described,

1)u applied the fusso on a warm surface. The fusso needs to be applied on a cool surface.

2)Another reason could be that you applied the fusso too thick, I have made this mistake before and I countered it by regularly misting my applicator with a quick detailer after every panel.

3)A third possibility is that the paint was not prepped. Fusso 12 is a pure sealant with no cleaning abilities, so by right u will need to clean the paint with a pure cleaner/polish than apply the sealant. so u might have encountered bonding problems due to old wax on ur ur paintwork. Sealants cannot bond to wax. So thats why i usually recommend fuuso 7months over 12 months. 7 has cleaning abilities and is much easier to use, although some durability is sacrificed it still outlasts many other sealants or waxes.

Hope this helps to shed some light! [sunny]

Cheers!
