Tito00 Clutched August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 Hi guys, my toyota is ardy due for its next servicing. Its mileage is now at 40000 and I called up Toyota and they told me that at 40000, it would be a major servicing and will cost S$405 for my toyota corolla 1.5 auto. I would like to know for major servicing, what does it check on or change?? Any different from the normal servicing? How much would it cost to have the servicing done outside rather than doing it at Toyota service centre and how much would it cost? Thanks ↡ Advertisement
Luckcent 4th Gear August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 Why dont you ask the Toyota agent to clarify " major servicing " and what are the parts needed changing.
Seansene 1st Gear August 31, 2004 Share August 31, 2004 $405?? Is this what you call the 'conti' feel?
Orangie Neutral Newbie August 31, 2004 Share August 31, 2004 For 40K km, refer to the Servicing Menu C. You can get the list of items to be serviced to any mechanic to do it at a fraction of the cost BM charges. Most of the items can be DIY-ed
Vtim 3rd Gear August 31, 2004 Share August 31, 2004 so you need to do it outside workshop, won't it void warranty
Orangie Neutral Newbie August 31, 2004 Share August 31, 2004 Once in a while, go back there to show face to do the cheapest servicing. On the other hand, going back there to do servicing at extortic price does not gurantee can claim warranty too. I've got a engine oil leak, been back there twice and they still refuse to change the gasket for me It is never stated anywhere that the new car have to go to bm for servicing. Tio bo?
