Jonathan Neutral Newbie September 9, 2004 Author Share September 9, 2004 Where got money to buy stock performance car... Most of us can only afford a basic one, then modify it to look fierce mah... Moreover Singapore so small. No matter how fast you go, you still have to stop at the traffic light 100m ahead!
Luckcent 4th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 Should save up more before getting a ride that can perform cos this is a heavy investment.
Magfocus 5th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 Depreciating asset you mean..
Luckcent 4th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 In our little country, everything depreciates pretty fast. Not only that in fact we dont own it.

Luckcent 4th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 The question now is WHY ?
Magfocus 5th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 (edited) Hmm...interesting analogy... its like laksa in Oz, its expensive(nearly AUD$10), not as tasty as the ones in SG, and its bad for you... But cannot resist that vague taste of home.. Edited September 10, 2004 by Magfocus
Soya Supersonic September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 guess that kinda sums up our addiction to cars.

Jonathan Neutral Newbie September 10, 2004 Author Share September 10, 2004 I think its because Man wants to be in control. When you are driving a car, you are in control. You can go wherever you want, do whatever you want (within legal restrictions of course!). Its a male thingy! As I'm currently waiting for my ride to arrive in 3rd week sept, I have to take BMT (Bus/MRT/Taxi) to get around and it's quite sucky... Can't go to fareaway places like changi for supper or star-gazing... everything's so inconvenient. And suddenly I realised that a whole lot of SBS buses does not ply along the northeast line. Wonder what they're for then! The changes from bus to mrt to bus takes a hell of a time longer than if I'm to take a straight bus!
Magfocus 5th Gear September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 So i guess its more of an ego thing eh?
Jonathan Neutral Newbie September 10, 2004 Author Share September 10, 2004 Think so. Otherwise its hard to explaining spending an average of $150,000 for a piece of metal that would last you only 10 years. Man... my knees are getting weak!
