i did the slow and steady pickup too, and FC slowly improved from 11 to 12 then 13 and last count 14km/l. my car is auto trans, using full syn 5w40 oil. mileage = 10k

 

maybe your car is new, after awhile FC should improve

 

and yes, remember to keep to the left most lane or you will get horn/high beam from cars (taxis mainly) behind.

I'm currently letting my car drink SPC 98 (learnt that its helps with attaining a better FC, but its gonna drain out my budget in the long run). I'm thinking of switching to SPC 92 which i still can get 11% discount.

i have been on 95 since day 1. only that time when all petrol stations having 16% discount then i treat my car the ultimate v-power hehehe

 

after that tank, back to 95.

This style of driving used to freak me out too until i realised it's just a lot of noise but no real action
