Icer Neutral Newbie September 24, 2004 Share September 24, 2004 Hi all, Need some advice here. Thinking of getting a hatchback car and the above 3 models are rather comparative. Which of would you buy? My agent just called me and told me Mazda 2 is now $68K. Jazz if I am not wrong was $72 but now reduced $3K so should be $69K. How much is Colt? $65K? I am looking at the auto version which Mazda2 is already auto at $68K. Jazz must add money? $2-3K? Mazda 2 and Colt is 1.5 and Jazz is 1.3. Fuel consumption wise Honda best followed by the other two. Anyone got any other info to share or advices? Sales agents are welcomed to PM me too if you good offer. Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
Seansene 1st Gear September 24, 2004 Share September 24, 2004 (edited) Between the three I would take the Jazz. It's already a CVT, so no extra for auto. Edited September 24, 2004 by Seansene
Kamenrider Neutral Newbie September 24, 2004 Share September 24, 2004 Nissan March. good!
Icer Neutral Newbie September 24, 2004 Author Share September 24, 2004 Mazda 2 also already auto liao!
Discoburg Supersonic September 24, 2004 Share September 24, 2004 Yesh i also chose a Jazz
Silver_blade Turbocharged September 24, 2004 Share September 24, 2004 I will also go for Jazz for it's smart interior configurations, good FC and lower road tax. Second will be the colt, for it's modern platform (same as the soon to be launch Smart's ForFour).
Icer Neutral Newbie September 24, 2004 Author Share September 24, 2004 I see most of you go for Jazz! Doesn't the 1.3 litre and the higher price puts you all off? Really worth it?
Wankie Clutched September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 Go & test drive all 3 and see which one you like. I did the same thing and ended up with the honda. Yes it is pricier and its 'only' 1.3 but i had more fun with it than the other 2 1.5, so there!
Icer Neutral Newbie September 25, 2004 Author Share September 25, 2004 Thanks a lot. I had test drove Mazda 2 but not the other 2. Now thinking of Daihatsu YRV. Going down to see afterwards. Any comments on the brand or model?
Mavvy Clutched September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 Tell me what's inside YRV when you testdrive later...... Cheapo interior I feel..
Icer Neutral Newbie September 25, 2004 Author Share September 25, 2004 Ok. Most comments i see from the web is that the interior is cheap looking and very plastic etc. That should be fine with me. More concerned about fuel consumption and the brand itself.
Mavvy Clutched September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 I see the analogue clock.. i fainted... overall its quite a OK car... to most.. probably look at YRV turbo instead..
Discoburg Supersonic September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 The YRV is definitely not worth the money you have to spent on it.
Susacarimakan 4th Gear September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 I see most of you go for Jazz! Doesn't the 1.3 litre and the higher price puts you all off? Really worth it? When my ex-ride was a 1597cc giving an average 8.5km/l consumption pattern, a 1339cc Jazz giving a consistent 14.5 km/l turns me on man !...CHEERS!...susa. ps: why don't consider Ford Fiesta?...great ride! Discoburg Supersonic September 26, 2004 Share September 26, 2004 1.3L and 1.5L not much difference lah
Lala81 Hypersonic September 26, 2004 Share September 26, 2004 I see most of you go for Jazz! Doesn't the 1.3 litre and the higher price puts you all off? Really worth it? there is really nothing to compare. looks: colt>jazz=mazda2 FC: jazz>colt/mazda not sure abt the OMV for the jazz but its confirmed higher than the other 2. cos of its i-DSL engine, its actually v gd for city driving though it has a low displacement n low overall power, it gives max torque at onli abt 2,800rpm
Icer Neutral Newbie September 27, 2004 Author Share September 27, 2004 Ok, I had done some calculations and find that these are really expensive for me and I will be very stressed and burdened with debts. So I had already got GETZ in the last weekend! Good price with lots of freebies and discounts. It looks cool too!
