Husky Clutched October 7, 2004 Share October 7, 2004 (edited) A lot of CVT nightmare stories from previous Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia owners (check out delphi forum) That is why the new Civic has moved from CVT back to normal 4 AT. Even toyota is refusing to put CVT into its Vios and Altis because it doesn't wanna jeopardize its reliabile reputation. I would choose Mazda2 because of its normal 4 AT and 1.5 VVT engine. If you check the HP and torque specs, it is so similar to Vios, anyone knows if it is the same engine?? Edited October 7, 2004 by Husky
Apollo 1st Gear October 8, 2004 Share October 8, 2004 beri much also depends on the OEM supplier. not sure where they got the cvt for cedia, but for colt, this supplier is affiliated to nissan. but regards toyota, they still use cvt, at least for the mpvs. not sure if they do not wanna use cvt in vios or altis though, afterall, they may not hv a cvt plant in thailand and import tax can b as high as 40%, making them unfeasible. also can consider picanto fr kia. looks as puny as the rest of the subcompact. but pricewise is definitely cheaper. Nitrate Neutral Newbie October 8, 2004 Share October 8, 2004 oh yah, it was mentioned in the september issue of CarBuyer that the MARCH is one of Singapore's TOP 10 UNDER-RATED CARS!
Kamenrider Neutral Newbie October 9, 2004 Share October 9, 2004 yes the mag says spore pple who's paying this price range for a cars will most likely go for as much space as possible, and maybe the supposedly fiercer look. it doesnt matter too much whatz in the interior. what they dont realise is that the other cars they are choosing are now as many as taxis on the roads. what a shame

Normal_aspirated Clutched October 11, 2004 Share October 11, 2004 body kits don't add much to the weight, but 16" or 17" rims will definitely affect FC. ↡ Advertisement
