Loner911 Clutched September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 Have tested the T5, a real powerful car. But bought the 2.0T in the end. Love the power and price tag. SM very particular about mods. As for complains, my turbo seems laggy at times.
Sapience Clutched September 25, 2004 Author Share September 25, 2004 what's the annual maintenance cost like? have you done any mods? is it "moddable" in the first place?
Loner911 Clutched September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 For maintenance its free at the moment. car only 1 mth old. Service is at every 15000km. Not a single mod done. SM very particular on mods. Even changing headlight would void car warranty unless it is installed by SM. Fuel consumption is slightly on the high side, getting around 7-8km/L
Soya Supersonic September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 wowo is a mod siao lang's nitemare. but doesn't matter coz the power is oredi.
Soya Supersonic September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 dun let the SM's SE scare u lar. SM not that bad and are ok wif light mods.
Oneofakind Neutral Newbie September 25, 2004 Share September 25, 2004 A little BSR tuning will do wonders for the T5 Stage one mild ecu reprogramming with serious increases in hp , can go for stage four if you are really serious about being a supercar slayer, of course you will need $$$ for the mods and also deal with the increased wear and tear.....probably have to upgrade brakes and suspension as well if you want in excess of 300 bhp. check it out @ www.swedesport.net or www.partforsaabs.com Seriously, if you are into serious mods u should not be worrying about agent warranty already, if you want more power than have to be prepared to pay. If you can invest in stage 4 and above mods then the warranty should not be too much a concern. But in stock form the T5 is quite okay alreadi. Sapience Clutched September 26, 2004 Author Share September 26, 2004 isn't that more power than the R already? what if you do tuning to the R?
Oneofakind Neutral Newbie September 26, 2004 Share September 26, 2004 Yes, and stage one $1200 only if you get from parts for Saabs in UK Stage one already more than sufficient IMHO, well perhaps a performance air-filter and exhaust system to help the engine breathe better. Alot of bang for relatively little buck
