Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 Some of the wax in the market are cleaner wax, some clean chemically, some use abrasives....so when you buy an off the shelf wax, ask yourself do you feel lucky . Stay away from cleaner wax (I know KIT, SOFT 99 got those)
Elkh Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 guess i'm lucky so far... cos was thinking of getting KIT since i'm using KIT car wash...
Elkh Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 the method of application... good answer to waxing... had done some reading from ww.autopia-carcare.com and of course this forum... well it gives me a good idea of how to do it... but i think i need to have a practical lesson to know how it actually works.. Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 I guess if you want a chemical cleaner , I would recommend AIO or Carlack (same/similar to AIO and got agent in Singapore also). Forget about the protection on AIO, it's very minute
Elkh Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 (edited) i dont need cleaner... what i'll do is to have a car wash then follow by waxing session... for AIO dont see it on the shelf... need to get from agent??? Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 oh can get AIO from the shop?? where ah? (btw I'm not in Sg that's why AIO is not available anywhere) . My routines every two months are wash, chemical polish (AIO etc), glaze then wax. I guess we all have our own ways of doin things
Tea3 Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 anyone tried TURTLEWAX products??? care to make some views??? Started using turtlewax car shampoo. Lots of suds & washes off easily. Was selling very cheap at Suntec. Just thought I give it a try. Was using Meguiar before that. No suds at all although smell was good. Used Autoglym too. Found it good but expensive. Apollo 1st Gear October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 cleaner wax r actually "polish" so u hv claybar --> polish --> sealant --> wax --> gloss polish is ok.
Apollo 1st Gear October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 actually, it would do justice to use turtle wax for beginners since it is relatively cheap and in liquid / paste form, easy to use. u can make expensive mistake fr it. besides, they may last abt 3-6 months, and after the whole bottle is used, a year later, u can move on to the next big thing. it's gg to b a long taxing hobby. Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 cleaner wax r actually "polish" so u hv claybar --> polish --> sealant --> wax --> gloss polish is ok. if use the cleaner wax as polish, the sealant wont bond properly
