Help needed

I am a new car owner and 1st time owner also. I got some questions to ask u experts. Can anyone recommend me wat brand of car washing liquid and car polish to use? Can sponge be used to wash car, if yes where can i buy these type of sponge? Wat type of cloth can be used to polish car and where can i buy it? Pls help mi with these questions... Thanks...

If you do not want the responsibility to screw up your paint work in case something goes wrong, use professional car grooming services to do your car.

 

1) Good car wash shampoo IMHO would be those that produce lots of foam. I like foam cos it helps to bring dirt away from the car surface. Try 3M, Merguair Rich Suds or the Shell Kleenshampoo is not bad or if Zaino Car Shampoo is also good...but need to work with the other Zaino stuff to bring best results.

 

2) Sponge...use those from 3M. I find them the best to prevent scratches. Not that they won't scratch..but lesser chance.

 

3) Use microfiber cloth to dry your car. If too ex for you, go for those 100% cotton terry towels. The fluffy the towel is...the better it is...make sure its 100% cotton.

 

4) You can use sponge or the supplied applicator to apply the polish. If not you can get the Merguair applicator...$2 per piece. Use either the cotton towel to remove your polish or micro fiber cloth.

 

5) if too confusing for you. Pay "school" fees to those professional to do for you. Learn from them and then you can also DIY later. Lesser chance of screwing up your paintwork and save you a lot of heart pain.

 

BTW...if you looking for pro...try Zaino ShowCar polish. If your ride is dark colour...you will love it.

brand is not impt to washing car, as long as it is designed for cars, it is safe. but i would avoid waxing shampoo though. am using armourall streakfree shampoo. oops, that is a brand, evil me.

any sponge, any way. try homefix DIY, petrol stations, whatever, pretty cheap stuff, last quite a while too.
