Christan Turbocharged November 17, 2004 Share November 17, 2004 Went to Caltex website to look-look. Seems they don't list the octane of their petrol like 95, 98. Instead they have Vortex Silve, Gold, Platinum. So how do we know what it is the Octane amount for their petrol? Comparing between the diif. oil companies, I find that SPC and Clatex gives better value for money than ExxonMobil and Shell.(a case of small company more giving than big ones). When I get my car would confirm go to Caltex for petrol. ↡ Advertisement
Acemundo Supercharged November 17, 2004 Share November 17, 2004 with their hsbc and ocbc tie ups with caltex and spc respectively, the smaller players seemed to be giving better deals. i have also switched to caltex now

RadX Moderator November 17, 2004 Share November 17, 2004 I thot Platinum is the RON-100? Nevertheless, the Platinum is the premium petrol range in Caltex, analagous to Shell's V-power

Jazziegirl Clutched November 17, 2004 Share November 17, 2004 hello, i just topped up petrol this morning and Silver is 95, Gold is 98. I didn't look at Platinum cos cannot afford lah, but i figure it's probably like VPower? Get the HSBC card, if you'll be using Caltex, cos now they're giving 11% off!
