  1. Do u all feel that with the shift in our attention towards rising coe prices, we have forgotten how crazy petrol prices have become? Are we getting used to rising petrol prices too?
  2. Ever wondered why your car's engine performance seems to decrease over the years? It's not just due to wear and tear. If you ask any driver if they can feel a difference in their car's performance compared to when they first bought it, chances are they could. Everyone knows that a car will deteriorate over the years, and I'm not only referring to the paintwork, the worn upholstery and interior panels, but its performance as well. As time goes by and you rack up the mileage on your car, you'll likely also notice how the engine is no longer as responsive and powerful as before. While it could be due to the wear and tear on the engine components, there is another reason for it - your engine internal parts could also be dirty due to deposits and dirt, affecting its performance! Deposits on the intake valve of an engine will negatively affect its performance - use Caltex fuels with Techron® to keep your engine clean Deposits affect the flow of air and fuel in your engine An engine produces power by combusting a mixture of air and fuel. In a normal port fuel-injected engine, fuel and air enters the combustion chamber when the engine's intake valves open. Over time, if poor quality fuel is used and you drive excessively in city driving conditions, deposits will start to form on the intake valves. You just have to imagine a walkway cluttered with plenty of junk and objects - walking through it will not be easy, and you won't be able to get through as quickly as a clear walkway. The same logic applies to the engine - the deposits will hinder fuel and air from entering the combustion chamber, resulting in poor engine performance. All Caltex fuels contain Techron®, an innovative formulation that has been scientifically proven to remove dirt and deposits, and them from forming on critical parts of your car's fuel system such as the fuel injectors and the intake valves; allowing your engine to perform at its best. Caltex with Techron® contains Clean & Glide Technology™, it helps to reduce friction and slow down the process of wear and tear, resulting in improved performance Reducing wear and tear will go a long way The components inside an engine, such as the pistons, operate in a high heat and high stress environment, moving thousands of times in a minute. Over time, these components wear out and become detrimental to the engine's performance. If the engine components are able to operate with less friction and better protection, it will go a long way in prolonging your engine's life, along with improvement in performance and fuel efficiency. While wear and tear cannot be avoided, opting for a quality fuel such as Caltex with Techron® can help to reduce friction and slow down the process. Caltex with Techron® contains Clean & Glide Technology™, which is designed to coat and protect metal surfaces, helping to reduce friction and wear while keeping the engine clean to deliver optimum performance. Caltex with Techron® is tested and proven to reduce wear by up to 38% and friction by up to 41% when compared to its previous formulation. By choosing to fuel up with Caltex with Techron®, you will be enjoying these benefits that can help preserve your engine while offering a powerful and enjoyable drive. Opt for Caltex with Techron® and you can get more out of your car with a healthier and cleaner engine Drive Further on Caltex with Techron® There are many ways you can slow down the wear and tear on your car, and get more out of your it. The simplest one is to opt for nothing but the best. Caltex with Techron® is scientifically proven to clean and protect your car's engine while reducing performance-robbing friction with its Clean & Glide Technology™. By opting for Caltex with Techron® you can enjoy a healthier and cleaner engine that will allow you to drive further and enjoy your journey.

  5. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/caltex-petrol-station-pump-attendant-2470606?cid=internal_sharetool_androidphone_31012022_cna Caltex again? For such incident... Do you think it's the diesel driver fault for not telling the attendant what to pump? Or after telling the attendant still pump wrongly?
  6. With the constant petrol hike that motorists have been experiencing over the years, petrol has become precious to us. It is to the extent that some of us even adapted and changed our driving habits to improve the fuel consumption of our vehicles. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way. Watch this video to find out why: What Happened? This footage was filmed at a Caltex petrol station in Jurong West Ave 1, where a group of friends were supposedly refuelling at. However, instead of refuelling at the station, they seem to be using it as a venue for socialising. And no surprise, they weren't wearing their face masks. An individual from the group was filmed pointing the petrol nozzle towards his friend in a playful manner. Upon realising that he was being filmed, he giggles in embarrassment and bends down to pull his face mask up. Seconds later, he pointed the petrol nozzle towards his friend again. This time around, he gives it two squeezes, causing two streams of petrol to gush out and land on the ground. FYI, the price of Caltex's 95 is $2.64 per litre! That kid has must be loaded from doing all his food deliveries to be wasting petrol like that. In Another Clip The same group of friends were filmed with their motorcycles parked along a stretch of road. The same two individuals who were filmed previously were seen running in the middle of the road, with one of them chasing the other with a helmet in hand. There's simply no cure for stupidity! Netizens' Comments It sucks to have a friend like that. But you know what they say, "birds of a feather, flock together". Truth be told, social media will be the downfall of Gen Zs. Then the whole group can get the attention that they crave! ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA
  7. 7.5km/l on my last tank yikes! I can do bad fc but this is super duper bad on a tiny 1.5L car. Was on Esso 95 previously on the 7.5km/l, just pumped Caltex 95 + Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner and monitoring but so far no improvements. Any suggestions to achieve better fuel consumption so that I can at least make it to KL in one tank? Deciding to stop at Ayer Keroh R&R for A&W should be by choice, not by force. 😆 Please help me get from very bad fc to okok fc hahaha. 🥴
  8. Do you feel that their 95 feels like esso/shell 92? That's why their 95 is cheaper?
  9. Here's a rare occurrence - A BMW driver actually using his signal when changing lanes! Maybe it's because of who's behind him? Watch the full video below to find out more! The incident took place along Paya Lebar Road, at the junction of Arumugam Road, before Caltex station. A rare occurrence A BMW 116i can be seen in the video, using his signal lights, and changing lanes from lane 2 to lane 4 to turn into Caltex. However, behind the BMW is not just one, BUT THREE TP ON THEIR BIKES. NGL, but the sight of TP bikes on the road somehow cause anxiety to road users (Touch your heart, don't say they don't). Definitely a head-turner As the BMW hatchback changes lanes, honking from disgruntled road users can be heard. You can see all three TP officers staring and observing the BMW. Luckily for that BMW driver, he wasn't stopped by any of the TP for his actions. It must have been one stressful drive. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Netizens' comments LMAO NGL the BMW driver is either ignorant or not experienced enough to "chu pattern" in front of three TP behind him. 100% Agree, being gracious and courteous goes a long way. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 11. Poor uncle https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1746836525374114&id=106857912705325 Dear Caltex, I earlier witnessed an incident at Caltex Tampines Ave 8 @2pm on 14 April and it filled me with such indignation that it prompted me to write this to you, hoping that you could help alleviate the financial obligation of your employee and implement appropriate measures to handle the incident as follows. While processing payment at the Cashier counter, the customer (picture uploaded herewith) and driver of BMW vehicle SLT6883G, claimed that your pump attendant had mistakenly refilled a full tank of petrol costing about $135 for his vehicle instead of the $10 petrol that he had instructed. He refused to pay the full amount and insisted to pay only $10 for the full tank. The pump attendant probably in his early 60s, was subsequently summoned to the Cashier counter to verify. He explained that he had heard that it was a full tank refill but the customer immediately rebutted it. What happened next astonished me. Instead of creating a scene by engaging in an argument with the customer, the elderly pump attendant calmly informed the Cashier to let the customer pay $10 and he would personally absorb the rest of the cost. As a result, the customer walked away smugly paying a mere $10 payment for a full tank of petrol for his BMW Series 5 vehicle. Whilst I was impressed with the collected composure and professional customer service that both your Cashier and pump attendant had displayed throughout the incident, I am deeply disturbed that the customer had capitalized on the opportunity to make the elderly pump attendant pay for the supposedly oversight. The customer could have responded gentlemanly and be gracious to forgive by paying for the petrol since his vehicle would need to consume it anyway. Alternatively, he could have paid for a partial amount instead of making the elderly pump attendant bear the full $125. Unfortunately, this was not so. I have done some online research and noticed that the remuneration of a pump attendant averages about $1600/mth in Singapore. $125 means a significant 8% of his meagre salary. Would Caltex consider waiving this amount or allowing the pump attendant to pay at cost? Also, assuming it was entirely the pump attendant’s oversight, under such circumstances, perhaps the Cashier could have proposed to the customer to pay for a partial amount instead of allowing the elderly pump attendant bear full monetary responsibility? Alternatively, for proof of evidence, perhaps Caltex can install CCTVs equipped with audio recording of drivers’ instructions to the pump attendants at each pump? What are Caltex’s existing guidelines and policies to handle such situation? I am concerned that if no effective standard operating systems are defined, such practices of having pump attendants to bear the price discrepancies can lead to abuse. Imagine if one uses this approach on each petrol station in Singapore every few days, it is tantamount to one walking away striking lottery frequently and the accumulated value will be very substantial!
  12. Huh?? Didn’t the petrol companies warned us last time NOT to use handphones at petrol stations as it can cause explosions??....

    SG Doctor

Post this to understand more . . . hope it has not been posted yet. Doctor's captions on YouTube videos of spat spark harassment case http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/doctors-captions-youtube-videos-spat-spark-harassment-case-2015011 What began as a petrol station spat between two men has escalated into an anti-harassment case involving YouTube videos. A district court yesterday ordered Dr K. Paramesvaran, who is better known as Dr Param, to remove the captions he had put into two videos that he uploaded detailing his run-in with Frenchman Yannick Pierre Yves Le Borgne at a Caltex station last April. The order is an interim one until the case is settled in court. This is believed to be the first time thaoot a court has issued an expedited protection order (EPO) under the Protection from Harassment Act, landmark legislation passed last year which, among other things, seeks to curb online harassment. Unlike a protection order, an EPO is issued on a temporary basis to prevent further alleged harassment until a case is settled. The court has also ordered that the captions cannot be printed by any other parties. The videos seem to have been taken from closed-circuit television footage at a petrol station in the Holland Road area. In one 6.5-minute video, Dr Param, managing director of Medical Imaging, which runs a chain of radiological clinics, is seen paying at the petrol kiosk's counter. A Caucasian man then approaches the doctor from behind, and starts talking to him. He points his finger several times, and is also seen patting Dr Param on the shoulder. In another three-minute video, the 36-year-old Frenchman is seen stopping his car alongside that of Dr Param's as he is pumping air into his tyres. He steps out of the car and again gesticulates towards Dr Param and engages him in some kind of argument. It is unclear what started the spat but the entire episode seems to have left Dr Param aggrieved. He lodged a Magistrate's Complaint shortly after the incident and the case was probed by the police as a case of intentional harassment. But last November, police informed him that after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and with advice from the Attorney-General's Chambers, no further action would be taken against Mr Yannick. Last month, the doctor, who is in his 60s, posted the two videos to air his grievances. Mr Yannick, who is represented by lawyer Choo Zheng Xi, claimed the text and commentary accompanying the videos, which could have gone viral, was a continuing source of harassment to him. He applied to have the text removed. The judge ruled that the videos have to be renamed "Incident at Caltex on 20 April 2014". But Dr Param, who was defended by lawyer Foo Soon Yien, is free to state on the videos that the previous comments had been removed pending a trial. According to the ruling, failure to obey the court's order could result in a contempt of court action or a Protection of Harassment Act offence which carries a fine of up to $5,000 and/or a jail term of up to six months. Responding to queries, a State Courts spokesman said yesterday that since the new Act came into force last Nov 15 till Jan 7 this year, there have been 79 Magistrate's Complaints for harassment. There were also 13 applications for Protection Orders under Originating Summons. Magistrate's Complaints relate to criminal cases while Originating Summons are civil remedies. Three Protection Orders have been issued by the State Courts, and the remainder of the cases are ongoing, she added.
  20. 19% off from 1 Oct at all Caltex stations with voucher. If no voucher, can still get 19%?
  21. You have heard from me that this is one of the cheapest and longest drain engine oils around. It is a fleet oil rated at 15W40 but hard to find here. Good news is that it is very easily available in Malaysia. Their Caltex stations usually stock it. Better than Delvac MX. Sells for RM55-60 for 5L. Furthermore, I have confirmed reports that Shell Rimula 15W40 is actually Rotella in the US. Another excellent long drain dino oil, but Delo 400 is much more highly refined than Rimula. These oils only start to turn black when close to 10k. Makes your engine cleaner than your underwear. Jiayong, you can consider these once your current thick oil gives up its life at 5k.
  22. merging with other thread...u buggers ah, i am back hor....dun pray pray
  23. Did a search on the above topic and found nothing relevant. Anyone can advise where to find caltex station on nshw and at KL? Tks
