  14. Hello everyone, Esso Hougang along Hougang Avenue 3 will cease operations at end of November due to lease expiry. They are now giving out Esso discount vouchers: $5 off with every $50 petrol, usable from 1 December 2014 onwards at all other Esso petrol stations; this discount is offered on top of prevailing credit card and station discounts. The discount vouchers are given for every $50 petrol purchased at Esso Hougang, and it is a booklet with 4 x $5 vouchers usable from 1 December 2014 all the way till 31 December 2015, ie 13 months, total nominal value of $260. Just to share the above with MCF forumers who pump Esso; good deal if you use DBS Esso Platinum MasterCard, the discount voucher plus the usual 17% discount works out to be 27% discount at the counter, further you still earn Esso Smiles points.

    Smoking while washing my car

Went for a car wash this afternoon at about 3.30 pm at Macpherson Esso. I noted that the dude shampooing my car had a litted fag in his mouth and he was rubba-ing my car nonchalantly. I almost wanted to come out and fark him as his ciggy ashes are falling on my car as he sponged my panels. They were spraying soap and water so I cant come out and LLST. Secondly, WTF was he thinking!! Its a damn petrol kiosk leh! Who can I report this too? Will try to extract the video from my car cam tomorrow.

    BolehLand Esso redemption

Hi, I had the opportunity to top-up in JB last week and always check the receipt before leaving, didn't expect that we can ask for redemption points of max. 3000 for RM 45.00/ Cashier told me to come back on next visit & do the followings: Pro: a) Inform counter cashier in advance by producing Esso member card & topping-up 1st to redeem. b) Cashier will activate the pump station to max redeem -RM 45.00/ ( The actual S18.35ct ) will be redeemed. c) Signal to cashier by adding-on ( hand-signal from outside ), proceed to top-up 2nd time round till your desired amount. d) Make payment and check balance points accumulated and redeemed points ( they will issued 2 receipts ) Cons: a) Better to redeem as and when necessary b) The redemption promotion may has expiry date c) Their in-house redeemption item/s not so good d) ?? Who say BolehLand cannot , Truly Asia
  21. Dun miss this deal, now petrol is more & more expensive. 20% + your credit card rebate, that can max to 25%. Why not. This deal is only left 12 hours. http://www.deal.com.sg/deals/singapore/iFu...n=daily20130203
  22. Managed to pick up an application form for Esso Speedpass, which allows you to link to any credit card and to your existing Smiles card for points. Previously the attendant told me the only option for Speedpass was to apply with the DBS ESSO card. Question is, currently when you pay by Citibank cards, there is 14% direct discount, as opposed to the normal station discounts, so by linking the Speedpass to a Citibank card, will you still enjoy the 14% direct discount? I don't want to queue at the counter, yet I still want to enjoy the maximum discount that I'm currently getting, with my Citibank Dividend card.
  23. Hi all, as of 10am today, ESSO adjusted their price downwards by 2cents for RON95. I think other grades should have dropped by the same amount.

Nasi Lemak @ Esso Gelang Patah

Dear Distinguished bros and Sis of MCF..., I always notice that when I buy the Nasi Lemak after pumping petrol at Shell , quite a lot of it is sold out.. I dont really like the taste.. I buy it for my dad who loves it... What do you think? Is it nice? Most of them who buy it are drivers of S and E plate vehicles.. [rolleyes] The price.. No joke in terms of Malaysian context.. RM3 for the chicken one and RM2 for the egg , fish or mee hoon...
