Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 11, 2004 Share December 11, 2004 components sepakers are speakers which come with a set of crossover, a pair of tweeter..and speaker. 6x9 are speakers which is oval in shape. most ppl put component in front and a 6x9 behind. u can oso put component behind, but in terms u would nid subwoofer. a 6x9 is enuff to give u good bass for normal listening. ↡ Advertisement

Gccp Neutral Newbie December 12, 2004 Share December 12, 2004 Hi there, I'm new to this forum. Am also looking at ICE upgrade. Recently shortlisted to Lanzar HR6.1 and Rainbow CSX265. Are both comparable interms of clarity and base? Coz the diff is about $120 per pair, but I got tight budget of $400 for front and rears. dilemma dilemma. Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 12, 2004 Share December 12, 2004 (edited) he doesn;t really haf a shop..but a store at admarlty, where he fix up all things there. if u once frequent yishun dam, and notice a bunch of hyundai vans with beautiful ICE, the silver colored one is him. Zealot Neutral Newbie December 12, 2004 Share December 12, 2004 (edited) you can get 2 x infinity reference 6000cs components for about $400.00 , lacks a bit of bass (use your woofer to make up for it) but clarity is top-notch! or 2 sets of lanzar hr6.1 for $300.00..... i would recommend you mix though, infinity for the front and lanzar for the rear, so total about $350 ps : i have a friend using front infinity driven by stock HU, already sounds much better then the stock speakers....why not try without amp first? not happy then buy a amp lor Edited December 12, 2004 by Zealot
Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 infinity speaker are power..like the sound..yep..try out without an amp first
Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 (edited) package 1 is jus chaning the speakers plus an amp..which comes to think its a waste ba. cos there wouldn;t be much bass build in. like if u wan to blast......the sound would turn out to be "pla pla pla" package 2 comes with a whole set of simple ICE. 2 sets of speakers and 1 sub..plus 2 amps..adds up to around $700. relatively price quite low, but wad amps and speakers they are using. does they include RCA cables and proper fuse wiring boxes plank for the amp? marketing technique are good that price listed are low, but dun forget those wires which could easily cost u around one to two hundred bucks. package 3 and 4 are about the same ba. jus the quality wise of the product. for ur swift, hatch back or sedan? a swift boot space is somehow limited, thus i think that package 2 should be struck off, unless u r willing to sacrifice ur boot face for ur sub. in the firs tplace u wanted cheap ICE. use ur HU, change the speakers in front and the rear speakers. enough le. save the amp till u really think that u wan to spend $$ on it. becos it seems the package u shown a bit "bu san bu si" not 3 not 4. 1 set of component in front a set of 6x9 is jus right for u that u haf ur boot space and oso u haf betta sound. in time to come when u wan to add in a amp, can easily put it under ur passenger seat. the package u shown, the price is quite attractive la. but oso mus look at the product they use. if they were to use lousy amps, the sound quality would not be good even if u use good speakers, or vice versa. does the price include the labour charge, the wires charge? trust me, like wad i say, component speakers in front, 6x9 behind. this is wad i got on my previous ride. after sometimes, wanted more bass, so put in a 4ch amp..and the sound got betta. but after that sold off my car and the whole set was brought over to my brother in law car. now my new ride has those whole set ICE done. Chiqinhan 1st Gear December 13, 2004 Author Share December 13, 2004 oic. thks all for all these priceless advice. so i think i better get a set of comp speakers for the front n 6x9 for the back. but still need to wait for next pay day. haha.... this month my clutch cost mi 300+ liao. siong... i believed ur ah boon sell both of those speakers u mentioned to mi rite n including the wiring n installation. if u dun mind, can u plse list out the price for mi again for each type of speakers. thks a lot
Gccp Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 I've been looking for ICE these couple of wks, and considered Twister too. but got cautioned against gettign this brand because of resale value or rather not at all. If you still want it, Item 3 cost $600 only. But can be cheaper if neg (Bt Batok, Midview bldg). Forget about those grounding they offer, I believe its lousy cables, so not very effective. You may want to get good ones together with voltage stabilizer, which dun come as FOCs.
Gccp Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 You''re right, that's wat I intend to do, dun fix any amp yet, coz no money. DO it step by step. I very keen to try out infinity leh. btw those prices you gave are w/o installation or just with hook up? From Ah Boon? If really I chiong already. The cheapest I found so far is at Poh Seng, lanzar $340. Most ex at $560. Of couse if I bring in myself from online, only USD50.
Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 (edited) a set of component cost around 80-120 lo. 6x9 shld be around there too ba. plus wiring $300 shld be more than enuff. if u r interested u gif ah boon a call and talk to him ba. stuff he will buy it from sim lim tower for u and install for u. u haf to confirm wif him for the total cost ba. he is differnt from those accessories shop who open door to do business. meanwhile he still do not haf the capital to do so..so wad he is doin is to help u buy from sim lim tower and install it for u at his store, where he will onli add up some labour charge. the price differnt is quite huge, dun believe haf a walk at sim lim tower, compare the price wif autobacs at bb. simlim tower sell them at a relatively cheap price, but the dun provide installation..so thats where ah boon come in.... Ahdi Neutral Newbie December 13, 2004 Share December 13, 2004 (edited) my previous ride was not done up by ah boon. that time was in yr2000. a set of sony HU with CD changer, crimestopper alarm, set of blanpunkt speaker and infinity 6x9. cost mi $1200 then. was done up by a accessories shop at bukit timah.
