Just collected my new Sunny last week and the frequent has gotten it quite dirty :(

Out of curiosity, how soon should I send my new car for professional polishing? Should I do it immediately after collecting my new car to have a coat of protection? Or should I leave it for a while? Wondering if polishing has any side effect to the paint work.

Any good lobang for polishing?

Hi There, Congrats on ur new ride!! thumbsup.gif

Would rather use the term 'grooming' instead of 'polishing' coz. it's different in certain aspects thumbsup.gif

U can send ur ride for a grooming treat anytime from now....

as for type of services/products, many around...but it depends on ur budget (ranges between hundreds to thousands!!)..

usually, the most economical way is to send ride for 1st treatment follow by DIY..

hope above helps... Cheers!! wink.gif

1. IMHO, one would not polish/wax(butter) the car.

2. To suffer less in the future, apply a sealant over the car paint. You just wash(not polish)the car and it still shines.

3. Usally, best to leave the paint work untouched for two weeks.

Regards,

Hi Snooper,

You can groom your car anytime from now. You only have to wait about 1-2 weeks if you do a respray of your paintwork.

Some Grooming Centres you can check out are listed here in the RESOURCES folder.

For more info on grooming, check out the Intro To Detailing Products thread here.

any good grooming package that is not too painful to the pockets u use?

for the not too painful to pocket, I will call it the DIY grooming package laugh.gif...

jokes aside, I did my previous black trek with Glare package... but back then quite costly..now I think is abt. $300-$400.... no regrets abt. it...

however, there are many other choices available.. do source around and compare... most impt. , u must be comfortable with it...thumbsup.gif

No, I first using Autoglym products. But it really [sweatdrop] take me 2-3 hours for

washing & apply the sealant only. (U know need to let the sealant set for 1-1.5hrs [thumbsdown] ).

Until I found this wonderful forum and got to know about the Klasse product. Since

the first day I reced my Klasse from USA I started to apply the Klasse.

Up today sorry it's now ELEVENTH layers already. Shine, Shine and sheet out

the raindrop like crazy. It's very ex when u drive during heavy rain and see

the raindrop fly away from the bonnet. [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Exactly. By the time we take delivery of our new cars, they'll be more than 2 weeks since the paint cured. We should immediately seal in the flawless condition with products like Glare.

Like you, I glared my car upon delivery. Very nice and easy to maintain now.
