All ecu tuning solution, either hardware or software based, is "absolutely nothing, and absolutely no effect" on it's own. It's the tunner that makes the difference. Dwoon 1st Gear December 27, 2004 Share December 27, 2004 (edited) No need to be upset lah..... the price for it is in excess of $1700 and might not be so cost justifiable if was applied to NA cars. For TC cars, at least it serves the purpose of the boost controller which already offsets a fair sum. Then there's other nitty gritty stuff like resistor fix for CEL is not required etc... which saves abit here and there. So works out not so bad in terms of costs. But I don't know who is selling in Singapore. Frankly, I don't trust such chip solution if it's for uncommon car, as I don't think they have the resources to actually experiment it out. However, for common model, I think should be ok. Vtim 3rd Gear December 28, 2004 Share December 28, 2004 All the aftermarket ecu will come with interfacing software. The ecu can normally be connected directly to the serial port of the notebook. Just need a wide band O2 sensor, then can start doing tuning liao. However, there's many ecu vendor does not give the software so that you need to go back to them every time you mod your car, so that they can continue to earn your $$$. Worst still, some of them don't really know what the "fish" they are tuning, and all sort of funny result occure. Sim (if that's you), you ask so many Technical questions that even the Local Authorised dealer don't know how to answer them Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
