Anyone buying amsoil?

Anyone keen to join me in buying a carton of Amsoil 5W30 or 10w30 at $180/ 12 qtrs?

Interested. Which is best for Optra? I am using 10w40 at the moment.

My manual says 10w40 for aveo. Pls look at yr manual.

 

I am keen to try a thinner oil which is ok for new cars to get better mileage. Read amsoil is good quality and so don't mind trying.

If your is Optra, then it'll require 4 bottles. Not sure for Aveo though.

 

I've no idea whether the stock is here...... just thought of ordering to prepare for my future 10k servicing

Aveo needs 4qts. Yes, 3.8L which means the Aveo's puny 1.4L engine has the same sized oil sump as the 1.6L Optra .

Sent out an order for 12 qtrs 5W30. Let you know when it comes in. Shud be $60 per 4 qtrs.

For a 1.4, it sure uses quite a bit of oil! My previous Sunny 1.6 only uses 2.7litres..... can save money!

More oil also means longer OCI. I'm aiming for 12.5k now.

But isn't it unwise to "drag" your oil for too long, especially in Singapore city driving conditions?
