Patience, I cant afford them either [:p] . But LGT is after all a more attractive choice. I had a similiar post, waited for 4 days before I recieve respond from my fellow mates. [thumbsup]

oo...it seems that Legacy is not a much sought after car afterall...

I guess that the Legacy (non-turbo) has been overshadowed by it's bigger brother, the LGT in this forum.

Maybe you can try other forums like the subaru club or rexfactor.org for more talk on the Legacy.

Personally, I have not test driven the Legacy but sat in one when my friend was testing it. The passenger comfort is definitely much better when compared to the WRX or STI. Also the stock sound system is awesome (IMO) [thumbsup] . 13 speakers in all!!

What are some of your other options besides the Legacy?

yes, I agree... the sound system as compared to other cars are definitely awesome...heard taht the FC is not too bad too. Dun like the Mazda 6. Was thinking of the Tucson but a friend of mine who is driving it complains so much of the FC. I think it is one of the best value 2.0 litre Japs make around....

So I guess the toyota camry 2.0 is out too?

Just out of curiosity, have you considered the wrx? Since you have the funds for the legacy and presumably crave the performance of the LGT, then the wrx might just do it for you.

In terms of FC, my wrx is giving me 8.5km/l....which is not too bad when you compare to the Tucson or Santa Fe. Of course I was in the process of running in my car so I wasn't revving too hard. [;)] I guess FC will increase if I drive her harder, though with the no. of speed traps and TP around plus the hours that I tavel in, it's quite hard to find the opportunity to go faster than what I'm doing.

In terms of passenger comfort, I had been ferrying passengers over the festive period and so far no complains (although I did warn them before they step in that the wrx is not your normal family saloon). I guess the ride is not that bad as long as you don't drive like a maniac (which can be very tempting when you are driving a wrx). [sly]

It's just my two cents worth because IMO, the wrx is definitely a fun car to drive with a bang-for-the-buck performance. [ [:)]

wow... wat a car... personally I like the performance of WRX. However, my wife prefers a car that is not so "loud". She feels that you make quite a statement when driving a WRX and prefers something more demure. IMO, I think WRX is a very nice car.....

So, you must be having a great time now....

why not the accord? it's a great drive. thumbsup.gif unfortunately, the legacy NA is overshadowed by the LGT, hence the low appeal.

Thanks!!

Yup, I most definitely having fun with the wrx. [:)] Especially considering the huge amount of aftermarket parts and accesories to play around with.... [sly]

Well, my SE told me that one of his customer actually requested for a "spoilerless" wrx because she doesn't want to attract too much attention. I guess you can do without the wings, sideskirts and air-dam vents but I'm not so sure about doing without the front air scoop. Perhaps an alternative would be to get those carbon-fibre hoods that has "grilles" cut onto them instead of an air-scoop. [thumbsup]

As highlighted by soya, an Accord would be a good alternative as well.

If you are still think of a TC car, then perhaps you want to consider the Forester? Afterall you mentioned that you did mention that you were looking at the Tuscon. I didn't try the Tuscon but I did test both the Forester and RAV4 and found that the ride for RAV4 is very bland compared to the Forester. You think your wife will like the Forester??

no la... dun think she will like the Forester, she likes the Rav 4.. though...anyway... i prefer the Honda Accord JDM, not the 2.4L KM Accord... 2.4L very siong...

Anyway, WRX is really a fun car to drive... I like the SW version of the WRX..... very nice and unique...

Sorry, I am only driving the LGT. If I put accelration aside, the car is great with excellent finishing, ride comfort, sound proofing, MacIntosh ICE etc. Great and fun car to drive around.

Conti feel but Jap reliability, preformance and price.

But the Accord JDM is above the price range rite? Incidentally, I went to KM last weekend and saw an Accord with the Mugen bodykit. The SE told me that you got to top-up another 6.5K for the bodykit. [knife] IMO, it doesn't look like very good workmanship.

As for the RAV4, I think there will be a new 7 seater version coming out although IMO, the new version is more of a MPV rather than a SUV. Not too sure when it will be rolled out into production though? I found the 3 door version sold by PI to be very sporty looking but when I was shopping around in dec, it appears that there are no longer in production. Those that had stock didn't have the color that I wanted. Anyway after trying the Forestor, I struck RAV4 off my list. It's a pity that your wife doesn't like it. In terms of performance, the Forestor is quite good value for $$$ too.

Sorry but I'm not too sure what "SW" stands for? Care to explain.
