Following the logic of capacitor can catch fire, we gonna replace all our fuel hose liao.

 

Perhaps, need to undertand the conditions for catching fire.

like I said, capacitor does not catch fire. it's an ignition source, ignition source cause fire, either by piloted ignition, non piloted ignition or spontaneous ignition. in the case of capacitor it will cause piloted ignition of any fuel source becos it is a heat source.

 

u hv a vague concept of what is fire hazard.

You don't have to worry about engine oil. The typical flashpoint is 240-260 deg C and the firepoint is in excess of 300 deg C.

 

Petrol? Now that is a nasty creature. It takes a petrol fire to start everything else burning.

it's not the engine oil alone... once u start a small fire, the heat release would elevation the adjacent area, resulting in preheating of other surfaces and it will propagate. quite regardless of what the material is, as long as it is organic, it will burn.
