Ghoonk Neutral Newbie January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 bro...compare your 19" to stock tires and rims that comes on the Passat or Skoda...the FC would definitely be higher when I last upgraded my stock rims and tires 14' which weighed about 15kg each to the 16" OZ Superleggera(4.75kg) and 215/50/16 Yokohama db Aspec(8.96kg)...the weight was almost the same...but the tires were upsized to 215 vs 185...rolling resistance would have also increased...therefore maybe a slight increase in FC. If the weight of the upsized rims and tire combi were to be significantly lower than the original set....this might actually offset the rolling resistance...to find such a combi would require extensive research in the tire and rim combi not to talk about the price of the rims...as you know the lighter the rim the more ex...in most cases.... my two cents... Could be an anomaly. I used to get 520 km on a full tank when I was on 17" ABT with 225/45/17 CSC2 rubbers. Now I'm doing 640 km average on a full tank running 19" AEZ Bimos with 235/35/19 Yokohama AVS Sports rubbers. Not much else has changed. If anything I added stuff that would have increased my FC. ↡ Advertisement

Wa....! Runnning on a 19 inch with a 640KM mileage per Tank? Wooo, you might want to tell us what Chip you are running on man.... If so, do you dyno your car? You might be running too lean... Secondhand Neutral Newbie February 1, 2005 Author Share February 1, 2005 Ok... NOT going to do the ECU tuning with piggyback chip or unichip... Read thru this forum and ppl says the chip bypass lots of sensors and we won't even know if the engine is running well or not... I'm going with 16" sport rim... MAYBE from Volkracing or PROBABLY SSW... Bodykits... will consider... tempted to do bodykit but maybe long time later. anyways, thx everyone for ur advice and opinions. ↡ Advertisement
