Thadeus6 Neutral Newbie November 26, 2002 Share November 26, 2002 Anyone here knows where I can get the boot spoiler for the S40 besides SM Motors? Any ideas how much it costs? Don't need installation or spraying. ↡ Advertisement
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie November 26, 2002 Share November 26, 2002 Probably have to import, local shops may have universal ones that fit but won't be similar shape as a OEM Volvo's one.
Soya Supersonic November 26, 2002 Share November 26, 2002 U driving S40 or Opel?
Thadeus6 Neutral Newbie November 26, 2002 Author Share November 26, 2002 I am driving Opel lah..... but I am asking around to check prices first before trying to see if it would fit my Vectra boot. I believe it would. I find the S40 boot spoiler very similar to the Vectra GSi spoiler but the S40 one looks a lot nicer and streamlined. My ex-boss drives a S40 and I have roughly measured the width to be about the same. If you have one or have access to one, can you help me measure the spoiler end to end width? Appreciate any help, thanks!
Koolaba 1st Gear November 26, 2002 Share November 26, 2002 Hi, Do note tt u'll need to drill 4 holes for the S40 spoiler
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie November 26, 2002 Share November 26, 2002 If U're willing to import I can source aftermarket OEM replicas for you. Definitely will be cheaper than from SM. Why don't U give SM parts dept a call and check out the price first?
Thadeus6 Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Author Share November 27, 2002 Drill hole is not a problem. Almost all spoilers need that.
Thadeus6 Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Author Share November 27, 2002 Hi TB, Yes, I am willing to import but I haven't been able to source any at a reasonable price. Will give SM parts a call to check. Thanks.
Thadeus6 Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Author Share November 27, 2002 Hi TB, Just called SM, spoiler costs $380+GST. Way too expensive for my blood. Can you help to source for aftermarket OEM ones? I only want the plastic ones. Thanks.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie November 27, 2002 Share November 27, 2002 Okie, will check around for you. Last time SM quoted me $770 unpainted S70 spoiler I nearly cough blood into the phone!
