if i'm not wrong, there shd be a sensor to check level of engine oil.

try wipe dipstick and try again. the oil level shd be bet. max and min.

if still full, maybe sensor spoil.

best check with mech liao if so.

1 way is to bring to mechanic to get it inspected.

Another way is to unplug your battery for 1 min to reset the check engine light. If it happens again, then it is something major that you need to let mechanic check out.

On newer cars it maybe fuel cap that is not closed tightly, causing drop in fuel fume pressure.

just go back agent lah, let them check n quote to u. den u decide if let them do repair. could be minor but at least surer way to find the source and tackle it, rather than blind man touch elephant.

if too exp, den u go outside workshop find reliable one to repair lor.

always ask for warranty period.

I'd suggest reset ECU first to see if it is false alarm. If you reset the ECU, turn on the engine, and the light comes on again, then it is a real problem. Reset ECU by unplug the ECM fuse for few min, or disconnect battery for few mins.

Alot of times, the fuel gets low, and cannot maintain pressure, triggering CEL. When you top up and clear the ECU, it will not happen again.

it may be due to the low petrol level...

but it was not triggerred previously n hence a bit strange...

ok... i will try 2 disconnect d battery n clear d ecu after topping up petrol...
