Thug Clutched March 25, 2005 Share March 25, 2005 Hey guys, I'm riding a 93 Honda ESi. As you know the age of the car, the wipers of sucks. Just applied a layer of rain repelant on the windscreen. However the wiper still sucks. The question is; how do I know which wiper is suitable for me? ↡ Advertisement
Octopus 3rd Gear March 25, 2005 Share March 25, 2005 What sort of rain repelant did you used? Rain-X? I hear Rain-X will cause the wiper to judder. Any type of wiper should be able to do the job. But the more expensive silicone wiper may last longer, but I've never tried it.
Lanceteo Neutral Newbie March 25, 2005 Share March 25, 2005 maybe u can try to change to the low quality rubber ones some ppl say its effective and its cheap. every few months jus throw and get new ones. very affortable. you can check there a thread on this. Apollo 1st Gear March 25, 2005 Share March 25, 2005 make sure it is the right lenght... or slightly shorter, den it will wipe properly, cos it depends on 2 forces, one is swing direction by the motor, n the other is acting down, by the spring/ bridge. it helps if u clean ur glass with car shampoo (non wax type) follow by claybar. Pisces69 6th Gear March 25, 2005 Share March 25, 2005 (edited) I just change my wipers every year just before the rainy season starts. I normally use NWB brand. If u put stuff on the windscreen, u normally get the juddering. Also some carwashes have wax in the shampoo which will also cause juddering. U might want to remove the wax after the wash. Just use window glass cleaner (Kiwi brand or similar) to wipe till it's clean. Edited March 25, 2005 by Pisces69

Genie47 1st Gear March 28, 2005 Share March 28, 2005 There is this super cheap one selling at Home Fix DIY shops called KAZ. Very cheap by many standards. Even a 22" blade costs a measely $9.80 take a look. Make sure you know the size of your blade.
Etnt Turbocharged March 28, 2005 Share March 28, 2005 Or try premium ones like trico teflon. No matter what you apply on your windscreen also won't judder. I think Genie47 also mentioned before on another thread about some teflon stuff available from autobacs that can be applied on the wiper blades aka nail polish sytle. Maybe can give that a try too.
