AC filter for Matrix

Hi bros..just heard that Matrix doesn't come with AC filter installed. Is that true? If so, then must buy filter and install or not?

Song Yi in Veerasamr Rd carries the filter. $20 or thereabouts, I think. I made my own using a rewashable room aircon filter taped to a plastic frame.

Yes,the Matrix got no AC Filter

I went for 1K servicing at Kian Teck Dr,fixed the filter at $40 .....

 

How long must change the filter??

Not sure how oten need to change though. Probably every quarter or when it gets dirty? Any bro can advise?

Usually ac filter can last up to half a year. Some can go to the extent of 1 year

Try clearing your passenger floor mat often and ac filter should be able to last slightly longer.

Change every 10K km, that is what my Aveo reccommends.

I think they use the Cairefresh....which are recommended to change every 6 months....

 

Normal ones... 3 months...

 

Alternatively.... every 10K servicing is also a good indicator

For your glove compartment, there are 2 clips on the sides. Dismount them and the glove compartment falls lower.

 

There is a slot where you can get the air con filter pushed in or taken out. Pretty simple job.

Was following the tread, bought the cairefresh filter, opened up my glove compartment to check if there is a filter and found that Matrix does come with the filter!!! Keep the new one for replacement
