no return fuel line and pressure relieve valve.......siao liao. [shakehead]

cannot put PBV anymore. Want more fuel pressure, get a bigger fuel pump motor with exponential electronic control that simulate like PBV. But no guarantee will work as fuel pressure sensor signal will be sent to ECU to be leaned out...........oso siao liao. [shakehead][bigcry]

but does FBV increase the FC?? have u seen the simota cold air intake for MZ323?? saw it at mcwells yesterday...looks cool...claim will improve low to mid end torque...worth the try?? cost $228 include installation, carbon fiber resonator, cone filter, piping and 9mthly free filter cleaning for lifetime(who owes the car for lifetime) [:|]

i set at 3. Anything below 2.5, car will transform to Ninja Turtle [sweatdrop]

2.8 seems to give the best FC. [thumbsup] Diff cars got diff spects [nod]

is this a fuel pressure regulator thingie? cos i have one in my car and turned it all the way down cos of rising petrol costs sial...

Personally, simota cold air intake for 323 is not so good. Look carefully on how it takes in cold air. The passage is blocked when u closed your bonnet, very similar to the stock setup. Cone filter is located at the hot zone too [sweatdrop]

HOW DOES THE POWER BOOST VALVE WORK?

The Power Boost Valve is a high performance tuning part which replaces the original equipment valve (fitted to the vehicle).

A range of models are available to suit a wide variety of European cars, which almost certainly includes yours. We are continually developing new designs to expand the number of applications.

We outline the benefits of the Power Boost Valve by drawing a comparison evaluation:

Ref: Original Equipment Fuel Pressure Control Valve

The electric fuel pump supplies fuel at a high pressure to the fuel rail and injectors, which is then regulated by a fuel pressure control valve. Typically, the regulator is not adjustable and is pre-set to a 3 bar maximum pressure. At idle the fuel pressure valve reduces it by 0.5 bar approximately to 2.5 bar. When accelerating quickly from standstill the fuel pressure increases at a proportional rate retaining a lean fuel mixture strength as required by the E.E.C. for new vehicles. However, the resultant effects of the standard valve produce:

lethargic throttle response

occasional drivability problems at slow traffic speeds

intermediate performance 'flat spots' when accelerating

By comparison:

Ref: Power Boost Valve (replacement)

Firstly, this valve has an adjustable fuel pressure, effected by the movement of an adjustment screw on the crown of the unit.

New Power Boost Valves are pre-set with a maximum fuel pressure of 2.5, 3.0 or 3.5 bar, depending on the vehicle in question, and similarly (to the original valve) the fuel pressure is reduced by 0.5 bar approximately at idle. There the similarities end.

On acceleration from standstill the Power Boost Valve fuel pressure will increase at 1.7 times the standard rate. This will produce a healthy, strong fuel mixture strength which will instantly improve the drivability of your vehicle, providing:-

instant throttle response

removal of performance flat spots

faster acceleration

extra engine performance

The regulator enhances engine performance on acceleration by enriching the mixture strength. On constant throttle and cruise conditions the valve returns to a normal regulator function.

Thks for the info....so to say the FSE will not affect FC but onli enrich the mixture strength?? for the current setup...the filter is also at the hotzone too...but more restricted flow....arent carbon fibre supposed to provide better heat shield than stock plastic?? blockage at front can be easily done...believe it was discussed before on the removing the rubber lining at the front for better suction... [laugh]

so far FC still the same..... [thumbsup]

It is just my personal comment on simota, u may ask those bros who have installed from mazdaclubsingapore. My open pod is situated behind front right headlamp. U may want to take a look at my setup in "Car Showroom" folder. [sly]
