No_regret Clutched April 20, 2005 Share April 20, 2005 From what I can see from the pics...about the bike...besides being a gonna....bike is a Honda probably a RVF......the rear tire is a 160/55 17 inch Michelin Hi-sport used for racing .....rear shock is a Ohlins fully adjustable with piggy back reservoir............ end can is after market probably Micron or Akaprokoic or some other but material is definitely carbon fibre and exhaust manifolds are definitely not stock as well ( note the colour change)....rear rim is probably Magnesium alloy definitely not stock and last but not least rider is DEFINITELY not in STOCK condition as well......hehehehe......the reckless things that comes from being young or young at heart. Take a closer look at the tail light. Its a rvf 'jump letter'... a VFR.

Huggable Clutched April 20, 2005 Share April 20, 2005 Just noticed that the airbag deployed. Strange, there was hardly any impact on the front; the headlights, bonnets are in good shape.
Gearoil 1st Gear April 20, 2005 Share April 20, 2005 Smart boy!...got me there...hehehehe...so the rear should be a 180/55 17 but I still got the brand and the type of tire right , didn't I?..
No_regret Clutched April 20, 2005 Share April 20, 2005 The stock VFR should be running on 160 18' if i nv remember wrongly. Tire should be right. Not very common bike already. Too old and being replaced by RVF liao.

BMW320i Neutral Newbie April 24, 2005 Author Share April 24, 2005 just like the sg case quite a while ago,rex knock cab, killed couple, cab driver hurt, rex driver nothing. I think there should be an age limit to youngster driving high powered cars. Certain states in Australia enforce that rule. There are simply too many skylines, wrx, silvias, HSVs, integras, etc crashing. Some "kid" even asked for a test drive on a brand new HSV (V8, 5.7L) from the dealership and returned it in 2 pieces. Huggable Clutched April 25, 2005 Share April 25, 2005 I thought the airbag sensors are located in the front part of the car? So since there was so little impact to the front, why did the airbags deploy?
BMW320i Neutral Newbie April 25, 2005 Author Share April 25, 2005 You'll need to take it up to the car manufacturer. Judging from the photos the car clearly got hit at 250kph from the side... I mean its pretty obvious. 1 more thing to note is that the car rolled a couple of times so basically theres damages all over the car.
Huggable Clutched April 25, 2005 Share April 25, 2005 Hmm... I see. Probably the impact was so much that the airbag sensors just had to trigger off the airbags. 250km/h.
Jkl78 Neutral Newbie April 26, 2005 Share April 26, 2005 fyi, some of the car models hv side impact sensors and front crash sensor.... therefore it's possible for the airbag to deploy upon side impact crashes.... ↡ Advertisement
