Parked my car outside a factory in Jurong today, and when I return 2 hours later, to my horror, some SOB has knocked into my 1-month old optra, damaging 2 doors. Hit and run.

Now I need to come out from my own pocket for repair. Hopefuly, they can knock back the door panel and respray the 2 doors.

Any recommendation for a good workshop in Bukit Merah (coz nearer my house)? Or should I go back to SA? How much do you think is a reasonable amount to pay? Appreciate all comments. Thanks

Bro, if you want workshop nearby Bukit Merah, go to Lian Ho Hup Kee. Address is as follows:

Blk 1001 Bt Merah Lane 3 #01-67

Tel : 6273 3950

Look for Ah Lee. Good workmanship and good price also.

If you are willing to venture somewhere else, go to Yew Lip at Sin Ming! Great Service!!!

For spray painting, never go back to agents as they will let others do and make money through it.

How heavy is the damage bro? My car was vandalised (a few very deep scratches and dents) a few days back and when I send it for repair at ADSM, it costed me $400+.

If you don't mind the distant, I would recommend Lye Design over at AMK Autopoint. Very good worksmanship (as good as that of ADSM but should be cheaper).

Go and look for Ah Lee and let him quote. Its best to also go to Yew Lip and look for Angie and let her quote, if the price is significant different, it can even cover the additional taxi charges to go to Sin Ming mah!

Went to see Ah Lee already, he quoted me S$450 for repair and spray paint. Take 2 full days. Will go back another day because I need car for the next few days.

Thats right bro. Comparing prices of two good shops is ok. But dun go and compare prices of a lousy shop with a good shop. Then there should be a significant price different.

Mine fren spray a mirror, front door and the pannel beside the bonnet. And knock out some dent cost him $240.

2 doors should cost more than $400.

Try to bargain more.

Is your internal affected? ur central lock and power window got affected also?

Collected my car on Sat evening after repair. Excellent work, can't tell the diff. Ah Lee reduced the price to S$400 despite initial quote of $450, without any further bargaining!! [flowerface] . Thanks bro for the recommendation.
