Seansene 1st Gear January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Yours probably won't have the same smell, unless you smoke
Renegade Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Speaking of smell, anyone know of any way I could preserve the original smell of my car, like in a bottle or something ? Once little one comes, I expect smell to change regularly....
Assassin Clutched January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Speaking of smells...some transparent plastic got caught under my undercarriage and partially melted on my cat and cat back. Washing/spraying it doesnt do anything. So everytime I drive out, you get this plastic smell coming from under the car..altho its slowly losing its 'concentration'. Any other ideas how to remove the remainder of the melted plastic ?
Seansene 1st Gear January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Not really, unless he's extremely messy...
Magfocus 5th Gear January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Thats something everyone wants to do.. Hmm..Sean's car still smells ok..
Assassin Clutched January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Once little one comes, I expect smell to change regularly.... Or you might get the same smell...but a pungent one !
RadX Moderator January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 (edited) "Any other ideas how to remove the remainder of the melted plastic ?" Poor CAT!!! Think there is no way, as it will easily die a natural death..the smell I mean, not the cat!! Or u can try some abrasive agent...better not, though..dun noe what u might be damaging too... Renegade Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 (edited) Melted plastic ? How about using a burner to burn off the rest of it ? But seriously, if the plastics on some unpainted metal portion, some weak plastic solvent may work....know what sort of plastic it is ? Was is a plastic bag sort ? Saaber Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Go to the leather shop, get a small piece of new leather, smell it whenever needed for the new car smell......
Renegade Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Hmmm....that's the most feasible-sounding suggestion I've ever heard...
Assassin Clutched January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Yeah, thats what I intend to do...let the smell die a natural death. And I try to spray it a bit here and there to see if I can dislodge any more of the icky stuff. Dont think I'll try any abrasive agents on it..dunno what chemical reaction will happen if it gets heated up when I start driving.
Renegade Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 You'll know if the funny smell gets funnier. Not. ↡ Advertisement
