Uh.....what oil was cheap? Fuchs? Yeah, Fuchs was quite cheap, that's why I tried it, but that was more than 2 years ago, never used it again.

Now using Shell Helix Ultra, next switching to Amsoil in a few weeks time

Yeah...i agree with you. If the car wasn't under warranty, I'd head straight for the outside workshops!!

Hahaha.... if you read... most are dissatisfied with the SA's mechanics capabilities rather then the car...

ok my question was : What deals you guys get :P

Somehow it turned very negative. Is it really that bad a car? I mean you guys really made it sound as if the car is better left in a scrapyard or something.

Anyway, I guess no one got any sort of package or very very few people here actually drive an optra [jawdrop]

:P

That is why the MCF reviews page got both Optra and Aveo. Both users (me in the Aveo) satisfied with the car but not dealer. What a way to waste a fine automobile!

Chevies are OK. Actually bang for the buck cars if you are into grocery getting. Driving around and showing off (from kits). But the dealer and their technical support is like asking for computer technical support.

FYI, I service my own Aveo. Big jobs I go outside. Yes, I'm screwing the warranty.

Like I said, they are fine automobiles wasted by incompetence.

Honestly, you can squeeze them for anything under the sun. It's just a matter of whether they want to give it to you or not.

I got reverse sensors and tinting from them FOC, cos my deal was pretty good already at that time. My Aveo came with original sports rims, 5 disc changer and leather seats.

Ahh I see. Personally for what it is worth, there isn't much to complain on the car. Yeah you may be paying a 5 digit figure but seriously if you want the best of service, maybe paying a 6 digit figure will be better :P

Anyway I wont comment on the techs and after sales. My friend however has not much issues with them so far (his car is about 7 months now).

On the car, I think I have made up my mind. I already know what I want and I know what the issues are.

My concern now is to see what are the possibilities the SA can give in terms of packages etc. :)

[laugh][laugh][laugh]grocery getting.....I like that term man!!!

Sounds like we are all driving supermarket trolleys.... [laugh][laugh][laugh]

That depends on how you squeeze them. Frankly, I will save. Get the cheapest options. Manual, no fancy HU and stock rims. In exchange get the reverse sensors if you fancy that sort of thing and window tinting.

After getting the car, change HU, get funky rims.

Eh? Supermarket trolley with bad rear view that is comparable to a Messersmitt Bf109. Killer in disguise.

Actually quite like a Messersmitt Bf109 after thinking about it. Endurance low (FC not very good), poor rear view, behaves like the fighter (moves like small car) and quite adequately armor-plated. tongue.gif

The only thing that it does not resemble a Bf109 is the spaciousness. Bf109 very cramped c0ckpit.

I got the folowing:

1) reverse sensor

2) Cash rebate for front fog light ($150)

3) Additional cash rebate of $150 after some bargaining

4) 2 Chevey polo t after bugging the sales personnel. He is quite good though

What colour you getting. I work inside the port.. Their last intake of Chevy Optra is in Mar if i have not recalled wrongly. If you are getting red. It must be last yrs Aug stock coz i have only seen once.

Pay particular to the side moulding. You shd not be surprised if u see dents. They are already like that when discharged. Poor workmanship at Thainland. I gave this comment on the surey after abt 1 mth i collected my car when they called me up for a survey.
