Does anyone know what's the maximum pressure allowable and what happens if you pump in too much air? Will the tyres "burst"? I'm pumping 235 for both front and rear, but my front passenger side seems to be losing air more often then the rest. Cbx750p 1st Gear May 17, 2005 Share May 17, 2005 Logically, the front should have 230Nm and the rear 200 Nm. This is because the engine in front contribute alot of weight and the tires needs to be pressurised higher to meet with the load whereas the rear ( if no passengers at the back ) needs less pressure because of the weight distribution. If tires are pressured higher, i.e. 240 Nm, the contact area of the rubber would be less. Less rolling during corner but contact or adhesion to road is less. Me, I pump 230 front and 210 rear using a 185/60 R15 setup ! Cheers Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sotong_kia Neutral Newbie May 17, 2005 Share May 17, 2005 Hey, my front passenger side also lose air very fast.. Every time I pump petrol, the PSI drop from 235 to about 210... The rest still quite ok.. I thought I damaged that wheel, cos I scratched the rims before.. Look inside your glove compartment will give you the tyre pressure. Normal and MAX.
