Does anyone know where to get those lock for the gear box, those you see in Malaysian cars in S'pore? My friend is looking for one, as he does not believe in steering lock.

Buy 5 wheel clamps and clamp all your wheels, including your spare. After that, use those big metal chains used for ship anchors and chain your car to at least 2 trees and 1 lamp post. That way, confirm cannot steal / tow your car away... [sweatdrop]

I have one, Autolok original...see picture below. (Exactly the same one)

It was purchased more than 10 years ago by my dad. He then passed it down to my sis and then later to me. Machiam family heirloom. [dizzy]

Anyway, it is compact but does not fit all cars. I think you could purchase it in Malaysia. (that's where it was purchased) But I don't think it is cheap. (UK website selling it for around 29 Sterling pounds) There will definately be other chiong ones around though.

The day he passed it to me, I got a call from my mom and she told me to look after it as it has been with the family for so many years. I was like [confused] . [laugh]
