Matrix Facelift

somhow i prefer the old matrix taillight... but the grille looks kindda good

 

can the new grille fit on the 'old' matrix?

Hi everyone..

 

I've had my Matrix for 2.5 years already. 6 months ago, I got my headlights changed at Komoco because the reflective layer inside is developing cracks and buldge. I suspect it's due to heat from the headlights as mine is a 'Night Rider' and I usually drives at night. Anyway, 6 months later (now), the symptoms are coming back again.

 

Just wondering if anyone have similar problems ? I think this could be some inherent design flaws in the headlights coz my prev car dun have this issues even after 10 years of usage.

i notice that the new facelift matrix had a diff headlight. Maybe u can try to ask KMC to change the new type for you. Hopefully it will solve the headlight prob.

I think i've to count my lucky stars for that to happen.. Anyway, I plan to send it back for replacement right before my 3 years warranty expires. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they do not have stock for the old headlights by then..

Hmm... Which parts of the car do you want to see? It's the same as the previous version except for the headlights, taillights, foglights(not included) and grille...

Only cosmetic changes. Fuel consumption will still be as high.

Anyway, I actually saw the new hyundai in advertisements by Komoco many many months ago actually, just that they didn't realease the facelifted one yet. But it was also the only ad with this new matrix, after which all hyundai ads with matrix used the pix of the older matrix. And the pictures please?

Hey, i happened to pass-by their roadshow and the SE told me FL got 2 radiator fans now. Is it true the earlier got only one and got overheat problem? Maybe 2 fans will bring FC down abit now? Also, this FL seems can't slide back&forth the rear-seat and hidden compartment at rear-suspension area no more.

 

Wonder any 1.8 CVVT engine on its way?

I just got my new FL matrix. Enjoying every moment in it!

 

pls lah... Got 2 fan and can help to lower engine temp, plus can get better FC,

ask your SE dun tok k0k lah. Some rumours say got CVVT somemore! Hats off to those SE, they can do anything just to sell.

 

Went to a meetups, only diff they(matrixians) can spot are, ext lights(pre:H4,FL: H1,H7), ABS pump location, no rear boot side compartment, some change in firewall sound insulation material.

 

FC still as sucky as before, except newer FL comes standard with Turbo! NAH! wait long long ,maybe have!

I don't really like the new grillw actually. It looks TOO elongated....
