[reply]hmm.. heard the new hyundai engines more easy on the fuel. hope this matrix oso get some improvements on it.

 

I think the only way they will get any better FC is to put in a new v-tec engine like the Sonata.

 

I was thinking all the new models will have v-tec engines to remedy the high FC inherrent with this make.

 

Even the cheeper Kia's now have v-tec's.

 

I think the Sonata was a test to see how the buyers take to the first v-tec by koreans. It dosen't seem to be selling too well though.

 

I wouldn't mind considering a korean v-tec once they have proved themselves in a couple of years & if the price is right.

Vtec on Hyundai/Kia? No lah, I think you mean CVVT or VVT?

 

VVT (Variable Valve Timing)- I only know Sonata NF has it

CVVT (Constant Variable Valve Technology) - Tucson, Tuscani, Sportage, New Caren, New Trajet.

 

Any experts here know what is the difference between CVVT and VVT?

Bro, Sonata engine is also CVVT... And there should be no difference between VVT and CVVT.

The FL still has the same 1 fan for the radiator/air-con. But i have not heard of an overheating Matrix yet... Rear seats are still able to slide back and forth, hidden compartments are still there. Only the compartments on the side walls at the rear are missing.

VVT cud mean only 2 settings.

CVVT cud mean it slides on a sloped cam so u have something similar to the new CVT's transmissions with pulleys & belts instead of gears.

 

Means u have the perfect valve setting for any circumstance.

 

Now lets wait for a couple of years to see how good they really are???
