Chevee5 Neutral Newbie June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Has anyone experienced problem with the carpark ERP system when exiting? Entering is no problem but when exiting, the system is unable to deduct cash from the cash-card in the IU. Hence, the barrier cannot be lifted up. ↡ Advertisement

Pisces69 6th Gear June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 I also wonder if it cud b something to do with the window film used, especially the metallic kind. Cud it sometimes interfere with the antenna at the exit barrier???

Chevee5 Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Author Share June 17, 2005 How come your avatar is a cute fugu. I worked with fugu before. They were all dead and I extracted DNA from them. Happened to be at Bedok Jetty and saw this guy who had just fished it out of the water. It was still "smiling" and not knowing it's going to die soon. Chevee5 Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Author Share June 17, 2005 I have no problem with the LTA's ERP system. The cash was deducted each time I went thru the gantry. It's only the carpark's exit that I've got problem. My Optra5's windscreen isn't tinted (it's original). I have a feeling that the camera is mounted low and the IU too flat (because of the windscreen). But how come entering is no problem?
Toalson 1st Gear June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 But in cases whereby it cant read, u can still insert into their reader by the side??. Sometimes its how u position ur car, either to forward or backward.
Panda Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 Yup. Sometimes, I have to roll-back some and forward again, kinda like a re-scan to get it to try read once more.
Chevee5 Neutral Newbie June 17, 2005 Author Share June 17, 2005 Some better carparks like the one at Suntec will display the amount and instruct you to insert the cashcard into the slot-machine at the side. Some dumb ones like those at Pasir Ris are not that smart although there is a reader by the side.
Pisces69 6th Gear June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 The LTA gantry has 2 antennas for each lane. That's why it is so good. The one's at the carparks only have 1, so the angle might not b right to read properly. I also think it might have something to do with those metallic window tints. Has anybody had more problems after installing the metallic tint???
