My rear view mirror is OK, doesn't vibrate so much that it affects vision. smile.gif

But parking under the sun will cause my rear view mirror (clip-on type) to distort the vision, and everything behind when looking thru the mirror will seems bigger and nearer.tongue.gif After driving a while and air-con cools the surrounding, vision will be restored to normal again.

mine is also the clip on type... but is affecting my vision quite abit... so wondering any thing to make the situation better... [:/]

If you remove the clip-on mirror and use the stock rear view mirror instead, is the vibration still affecting your vision? If your stock rear view mirror is OK, then probably the clip-on mounting is not good or not suitable.

When you change to coilovers, your engine mounts will suffer. Change the mounts every year or you will encounter the "engine suddenly dropped" as Steam has encountered on his Starlet. Yes, the engine suddenly dropped off. CLUNK! and the car stopped moving.

With coilovers, the suspension is stiffer so much of the bumps from the road will transfer their energy upwards to your chassis and onto the mounts. The mounts will wear and so does the chassis.

I had similar problems, but it is the vibration sound that I don't like.. Vision not too impaired.

I did this and it reduced a lot :

(1) Get a thick double-sided tape.

(2) Stick onto the clip-on mirror at positions where it touches the stock mirror (the edge, and the clip, etc)

(3) Do not use the other side..

I use it as a kind of "shock absorber sponge" for the clip on mirror.. That is why I only use one side of the double-sided tape.

i have check my clip on mirror... there is all round gap between the rear miror and the clip on mirror... so juz put some double side tape or blue tack there? hmmmm... or the clip should actually touch the rear mirror?? [dizzy] will try it out first... thanks for the advice guys..
