Someone i met told me that my Hyundai DOHC Twin Cam engine is actually a Mitsubishi engine! He suggested me to down a proton satria gti 1.8 engine then use my originaL hyundai engine cover. He said it would fit perfectLy as proton also using mitsubishi engine. Is this true?? If its is, i might get it done. My engine is already 13yrs old.Very naggy.lolx
Multi 3rd Gear May 1, 2006 Share May 1, 2006 Yes its true that Hyundai uses Mit engine on their model only recently that they use their own engine. Well, I'm not sure weather the proton satria will fit perfectly but I do know that Hyundai after buying the engine from Mit did some minor improvement inside out and as well as the mounting points. You have make sure the mounting point is correct and fit...

Payne Neutral Newbie May 27, 2006 Share May 27, 2006 I am thinking of getting a 1.6M hyundai matrix or 1.6M hyundai getz. Any differences? What are the current price now? Is manual Hyundai matrix more fuel efficient than auto?
Mubarakrashid Neutral Newbie May 27, 2006 Share May 27, 2006 yes... one is a matrix, the other a getz..
Vit4wd 1st Gear May 28, 2006 Share May 28, 2006 Manual definitely more economical than auto. Matrix offers lots more space than Getz but at the expense of higher fuel consumption. For best prices, PM Redeel or Radx
Biccat Neutral Newbie May 29, 2006 Share May 29, 2006 Depends on what you are looking for. If cabin space is your major criteria, then go for the Matrix. But if FC is your priority and you can forgo some cabin space, then Getz is the way to go. At high speed along the NS highway, the Matrix is very stable. Manual is definitely more fuel effecient that auto, less transmission losses.
