    Audi A3 Sedan/Sportsback Owners - Check In

Initially was thinking of getting a used A3 too, but had cold feet after read the user reviews in VAGSG forum.. http://www.vagsg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29708&page=238 The fear was compounded by my bad experience from owning a 1.4T Scirocco couple years ago.. So wasted. Drive and interior quality of VW/Audi is excellent, but the reliability of the engine & GB is a letdown...

    Audi 9.9 sale

I think you're absolutely right! Only buy within one's means, and don't sacrifice much more impt stuff (like family time than a depreciating piece of metal). That being said, if you can afford, wouldn't you like to enjoy life and its luxuries just a little bit more? 😉

    Honda Owners..... Pls Check In..

hey there, nope my Econ mode is not turned on. But nevertheless, after extensive research (including asking 4 x random strangers who drives a Jazz/Fit/Vezel at my office carpark), i have concluded that this AC compressor cycling on & off issue is a normal behaviour for all Honda cars. Especially for those which are using the new DOHC engines. Unfortunately, I failed to notice this sound when I was test driving the Jazz at KM, if not i most probably would have bought the Avante instead. But oh wells, no use crying over spilt milk. At least i enjoy much better Fuel Consumption and Handling with the Honda! Thanks for your reply, cheers!

How to solve unwanted noises in your car

Hi all, i just bought a new Honda Fit, and the roofliner tends to have a small rattle (zzzz) when going over bumpy roads or at high speed (>80km/h). Thinking of dismantling it and then pasting some strong tape to keep it tighter, but not sure how to go about dismantling it.. sian.. On a side positive note, just did 4 doors double layer soundproofing in JB, road noise is cut off by min 70%! So at least I've got that going for me... My wife say i am driving myself crazy by paying attention to all these tiny noises, but i cant help it haha... :(

2014 Honda Jazz / Fit (GK Series)

Hi bro, yes I topped up $1k for 1 bid Coe Guaranteed. So is $65,988 + $1,000 = $66,988. But in hindsight, I could have saved the $1k because my bro-in-law who bought the FIT from the same SE same day as me, but he took the 4 Bids Guaranteed package, end up he also got the COE at the same bidding as me haha... We collected our cars on the same day too. But alas, hindsight is always 20/20 haha.. Mine is without the Honda Sensing though, i got it from Prime Car Traders. It is the 1.3 GF package. PM me if you want my SE's contact. I just did my FOC 1K servicing at MBM Wheelpower, the workshop covering my 5yrs warranty. Another MCFer bought Honda Vezel from her after I gave him the contact. Congrats on yr new Vezel! @shoguku :) Cheers

    Honda Owners..... Pls Check In..

Thanks bro! I also start to think that this is common for most Honda cars, because i realise that when there are Fit/Jazz driving past at my place's basement CP, i can alos hear the clicking sound of the compressor haha.. I will be gg to JB to do soundproofing to try and eliminate the noise haha! Checked the coolant level with the workshop, confirmed to be at the correct level. The technician even did a AC flush out of goodwill, and shown me the AC gas level pressure to ensure that its at the right level. yes i agree with you, when i turned the fan speed to 3 & above, the compressor turns on/off less frequently = less annoying click sound/vibration

    Honda Owners..... Pls Check In..

Hi gd mornng bros. Would just like to check, I have just gotten a 2019 Fit 1.3 GF-package from PI. Car works wonderful, FC is amazing, but there is just one thing that is annoying me on a daily basis. Thus, would like to get your advice. My AC compressor cyclics on and off every 8-10 seconds, and the vibration + metallic clicking noise it makes when it turns on/off is pretty audible. I checked with my bro-in-law who also collected his new Fit same time as me, and althought the cyclic motion is still present, his is less frequent (maybe every min or so) and the vibration/noise is not so loud as compared to mine. I brought to workshop to check, they said its normal. Because its the compressor maintaining the correct pressure (which i researched online and its true, talk about learning something new everyday haha!) Funny thing is, after googling, seems like this is an issue which most Honda owners faced overseas. But a part of me just cannot accept the intermittent vibration and metal clicking sound since this is a new car. So, just wanna check with bros here, is this issue normal for Honda cars? Should i just try to ignore it, or can i flag this as a defect? Thanks in advance! Lim

2014 Honda Jazz / Fit (GK Series)

Hi bro, sorry to bring up yr old post. I'm also hearing frequent ticking/tock-ing sound from the aircon compressor when AC is engaged at stationary mode. Once move off, sound usually disappears. Is this normal? Would just like to check with the owners here before i go to workshop for checking. Dont wish to look like a kuku if end up its a standard thing for Jazz/Fit haha..

2014 Honda Jazz / Fit (GK Series)

Thanks bro for the detailed explanation! However, I have decided to go for 195/55 since the PI have better tyres available for this size. Maybe when the time comes for changing tyres, I wil change to 185/60! By the way, jus collected my car yesterday! Wil share the buying process and things to look out for, for those who are also interested in getting a car from PI. Cheers!
