    OEM body kit material

under bodykit material, nowadays have many option. Closest to original and OEM are PP material. In lay man terms: PP is good balance mixture between plastic and rubber. Which give you light weight yet flexible enough which wont crack so easily, But still not as good as original material. ABS, mainly in plastic, very light. consider not so easy to crack. But once crack, same as PP. Hardly able to repair and restore back 100%. PU, mainly in rubber, very hard to crack or not possible to crack. Once crack, as good as cant repair. Always tends to warp or wavely. Worst is, very heavy. FRP (Fibreglass), one of the cheapest for manufacturing. Light, crack or break into 2 pcs, still able to repair back. (Can use fibre repair) Easy to crack, creates bubbles after times. Specially under hot sun, spoiler is always first to bubble create. Due to air trap during manufacturing. Cant be 100% avoid even vacuum pack or spend thousand of dollar to import from Japan, Will still have air bubbles. Overall, come to safety, there is no issue for all above materials. LTA will never allow metal material for bumper for safety reason. As well as sharp object or bodykit. PU Fibre, as good as FRP. Worst than FRP and more expensive than FRP. suppose to make FRP more flexible and harder to crack. But not much diff when you scratch a kerb.
