  1. Hi, I have just replace my old Twister TM-6000 Component rear speaker to CDT CL62. All I can say the speaker is quite bassy and I had a hard time balancing the sound quality in my car. It is louder than my front Rainbow CSX 265 component speaker and its tend to cover up my front clarity. But after a few hr of tuning, I manage to push the clarity to the front without any loss at the rear. Well for those who wanna buy CDT CL62, you can do so, preferably install at the rear if you dun have a subwoofer as installing in the front will be very bassy. In term of clarity, I still prefer Rainbow CSX 265 as it really outstand the vocal of the song. My Current setup: Pioneer DEH 7750 1x Rainbow CSX 265 front componenet speakers (with cross-over) 1x CDT CL62 rear componenet speakers (with cross-over) 1x Twister 10' dual voice subwoofer in a box 1 x Capacitor 1 x Twister 500W 2 channel amp. 1 x Twister 400W 4 channel amp. 1 x Accoutic Power Pre-amp Soundproof, two layer at the front door, floor and abit near firewall area (Using Dynamat Extreme)
  2. hi all, most of my old ICE system has been upgraded after 5 years of service, except for my 4-ch JBL amp (4x40w @ 4ohm), currently used to drive my front components active. i bought my CDT CL-62 in may this year. Power stated on the website is 160 watt RMS. not sure if its max or nominal. need recommendations for an acceptable 2nd hand amp that is good enough and not overkill for my entry level speakers to play my choice of music if chinese R&B (jay chou, david tao etc) and english 90s rock/pop/dance. seldom listen to instrumentals, jazz. objective: to get clearer vocals with more depth in mids. currently i need to utilise the "loudness" setting in my P8650 to get "deeper" sound, and then again the vocals sound abit dim/muffled. want to use an amp that gives clearer sound without sacrificing on midbass. i dun need too high end like Tru-Tech or Genesis or Audison. is it enough if i get a 4x100w or 4x125w rms amp? budget about $250-$300 only cos i still need to factor in re-wiring and changing my RCAs cos i'm only using 8awg and normal RCA cables. looking forward to your recommendations. thanks!!
  3. Hi, need advise whether the Genesis Profile Two Channel Amp is good enough to drive my CDT CL62 component speaker? CDT CL62 6.75" 2-Way component set Mid: Stamped 6.75" Crossover: EX-450 24 dB. Elliptic 2-Way Built-in Image enhancement Tweeter design Tweeter: TW-25S 1" silk twtr Power Handling: 160 watt RMS 100Hz high-pass Frequency Response: 60-20kHz Sensitivity: 92.3 dB Impedance: 4Ohm Surface & Flush mount Tweeter Titanium Tweeter optional (TW-25T) Genesis Profile Two Channel Amp Power Source: 10.8
  4. Where to get CDT CL62 at $250 with installation? Thanks.
  5. Hi guys! I've heard about the bassiness of the cl62... Would it be good if i fit 2 sets of them on my front and rear? Very newbie here, so not understanding why people don't install front and rear speakers of the same type I'm not intending to install woofers cuz my boot already very small, and then under car seats woofer, I've got feedback from my friend its not tight enough and makes the passenger uncomfortable Was thinking of getting the cl62 as a mini stand in for the missing woofer.. Heard the clarity of the 62 is not so good too... can any users feedback please? Also, I'm worried about the cone of the cl62 being too deep to be installed in my front doors... I'm also open to other combinations of speakers... just that i don't have a sub, so the speakers must at least have decent bass My budget is around 600 bucks for both front and rear Driving a lancer btw.. Pls advise... Thanks guys!
  6. sorry not enough post to post in classified. hope everyone dun mind. wts the above for $600. please pm if interested. thanks.
  7. Hi, for those who are driving the new Lancer CS02/03, if install CDT CL62 at the rear, be careful of the two metal rod at the boot above. It will sure hit the magnetic cone of the speaker as the speaker lower area is rather big. I have encounter metal dangling noise when driving on bumpy road. It took me two days to diagnose the problem. My installer had glue a sponge on the magnetic speaker area so that when the boot is close, the two metal rod will only hit the sponge. Dunno how long can it last. I can see the two sponge now dented it. The noise had been reduce alot and can hardly hear when listening to HU song.
