  1. Im thinking of getting a PC from detailogy, but as a newbie to machine polish Im not sure of which products I should use with the PC (currently only using JW products). My car has swirls and water marks which can't be removed using manual polishing. So far my idea is as follow, hope you gurus can further enlighten me here. 1. wash and clay 2. PC with Orange Pad/ or Yellow Pad with Compound (Which Brand?) 3. PC with green pad with Polish (Which Brand?) 4. PC with blue pad with JW Prime Strong 5. Manual application with Prime trigger P.S will the above steps be too aggresive to the paint or should I skip certain steps?
  2. Hi all, I find this one, the worst so far. Not much excitement and the storyline is weak. What do you think? Regards,
  3. Just got a porter cable last week and managed to get a 15 year old mit lancer rear bonnet for test for my PC before using on my car..... quite fun and easy to use i would say but makes quite a lot of noise.... i managed t try it with different products mainly, menzerna IP ,Optimum Hyper compound, optimum compound, optimum polish..... Below are the steps i took on the oxidized bonnet and pics: 1) Menzerna IP w/ orange pad at speed 5 on half the bonnet 2) Optimum Hyper compound w /orange pad at speed 5 on the other half 3) Optimum polish w/white polishing pad at speed 5 on the whole bonnet 4) JW prime w/ grey color pad at speed 3 Results: Managed to restore glossiness to the bonnet and remove the oxidation but there are still water etched marks on it that could not be removed....
  4. Hi, Anyone keen on PC7424 DA machine? I'm thinking of getting one from US. If there is an interest group to gather 10 units, we will be able to save significantly on shipping cost. Check out URL: http://www.autogeek.net/hk7424.html for more details. Anyone keen can include their nick for their interest. 1. Glisten 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. The above is to guage interest of getting PC7424 from US or Canada. If not able to gather 10 units, likely it would than be cancelled. Thks & Cheers!
  5. I have Bosch myself but find it inadequate, couldn't take out swirls on my steelblue e46 (SSR2.5, Meg #80, Menzerna 106FF didn't do squate even when I polish at a spot for 3 minutes ). Wonder if PC will get the job done or maybe should upgrade to Rupes ,Cyclo or rotary territory. Anyone have experience using Bosch on bimmer with hard clearcoat? 10Q
