  2. Any brudder got any idea where to get? I'm thinking of DIYing sound proofing my car's flooring (is that what it's called?) as my CO is still complaining of road noise although I have changed my 4 tyres to Yoko 501. Please advise urgently as I think her nagging sounds louder than the road noise. Haiz ...

    Bed sheets

Can anyone share where to get quilt cover and bedsheet sets at reasonable prices? I don't need fanciful or latest design ones, plain, single colour is good enough for me. And btw, anyone knows where hotels buy their bedsheets from? Thanks.

  6. can pls someone recommend a workshop/person where i can get "cable hunter" or similar bitumen sheets (with aluminium backing) at a good price? i need about 2m by 1m for some DIY soundproofing. thanks!
  7. Hello all. Currently my ride already have rikecool installed. But it was not tinted. I was thinking of getting those tinted film to stick it at my car windows(outside). Maybe try to get those according to LTA rules, 25% front, 75% back. As i do not want to waste the rikecool inside my car, will likely go for those film to stick it on the outside. Anyone done this?
  8. All, I would be taking orders for 2 types of bitumen sheets (alternative and cheap DIY sound soundproofing materials). These are self-adhesive sheets used for sound dampening of car sheet metal. 1) ICE & WaterShield 'heat-tolerant' bitumen sheets, now with an improved and thicker grooved-pattern polyurethane surface. Made from a modified bitumen and rubber compound that can withstand higher temperatures. This material has been proven safe for dampening doors, car roofs, bootlids and other vertical surfaces when used with contact glue (compulsory) with properly cleaned and grease-free surfaces. Its accostic dampening and noise cut properties have been verified by an independent tester commissioned by the manufacturer. Size 20m x 1m x 1mm thick - price $190 2) New type of 1.5mm thick bitumen sheets which replaces the 1.6mm plain bitumen sheets I used to sell. This has a newly formulated rubberized bitumen compound which is firmer and is much less likely to become "melting" soft or become elongated under the sun's heat. However, as this is a very new type of bitumen sheets and is not used by any DIYers yet, I would suggest getting this for dampening floorboards, wheel arches and bootpan only. Size 20m x 1m x 1.5mm thick - $165 Self-collection from my place in Kallang. These sheets, being quite thin, should be used in double or even triple layers for more effective sound damping. One roll should be enough for layering a vehicle's floor and doors. Cheap open-celled insulation sheets with sound absorption properties like Armaflex and Superlon should also be used bought separately to use on top of the bitumen sheets to reduce road noise. Please call or SMS me at 97939121 if you are interested. Cheers. Mav.
